Interestingly, the function of “yoga pad” at which you initially scoffed, was recognized, immediately, by myself and others; it’s almost exactly like the one the USMC issues! They do need some camouflage, sufficient ammo, and an understanding of what their function is.

That’s exactly what it is, and it’s part of an infantryman’s basic kit. However, as with any tool, it can be useful for a variety of purposes.

Don't mistake RuAF lack of PGMs and targetting pods for performance on aerial engagements. Recently we haven't seen Ukraine flying around migs or sukhois.

Low flying drones should have been dealt by their air defense but they weren't employing them properly.

Current situation. Take away all the propaganda and smokescreen, Russians are advancing steadily. Of course there was the initial hesitancy to do a total war against fellow Slavs but now it seems they are more aggressive. Not trying to create an excuse for their fck ups, but truth is normally something in between two extreme narratives.
