Quite a lot of losses from Western weaponry

"Russian Air Force losses over #Ukraine in the past 26 hours:

- 1x Su-30SM multirole aircraft
- 1 Su-34 strike aircraft
- 3 Su-25 close air support aircraft (pictured)
- 2 Mi-24/35 attack helicopters
- 1 Mi-8 transport helicopter
- 1 Orlan-10 UAV"

Oryx is a Turkish propaganda Account. They inflate a lot . I would doubt any numbers that comes from their side unless backed up by clear evidence.

It seems non-guided bombs are obsolete in modern warfare outside a few niche cases. Russia shouldn't have been losing this many modern aircraft to shoulder launched missiles.
You mean the USA CAS jets and helicopters bombing from 5-10 km height ?

It is a suprising development, I wasn't avare of an attack helicopter could operate efficiently from that altitude

Plaese read the rules for this thread again. We can all have different opinions but spreading lies from propaganda videos from either side as FACTS will led to consequences.

As such, Yes in return", "Sir with all due respect War is hell BUT" ... and in no way I excuse any other war, but not only Western countries rate this war not a war provoked by NATO and the West, but an plain and simple break of an UN charta by which international borders are untouchable. This cannot be justified by other wars, the US or the West started, but plain by policy and power, but it still makes it not correct. Therefore IMO the biggest fear was/is democracy and the free will of a neighbouring nation and not the NATO, but again, that MY opinion.

Anyway, I'm most surprised that China, which always stands to the rule that national borders and the national sovereignty are untouchable! Since suddenly it seem,s to be legit!
Read the statement again by China. You are considering this war from a nato western perspective so one can be blinded by everything else.

Is that confirmed? because everything seems like the same recycle strange photos over and over again.
I think so. The Su-30 and Su-34 are definitely new. A video of one Mi-24/35 shot down by MANPADS was published today. Another destroyed Mi-24/35 was photographed and that looks unique as well. At least one of the Su-25 looked new to me. I haven't studied the others yet.

The RuAF is clearly intensifying its operational tempo, but are they running low on smart munitions and forced to fly low? One of the aircraft shot down near Chernihiv carried unguided FAB-500 bombs.

How were the Su-30 and Su-34 shot down? If it was MANPADS, that's really embarrassing.

Are the Russians intensifying their air campaign? Quite a few of their aircraft/helicopters are getting shot down lately. Or perhaps the Stinger shipments from NATO Europe have arrived to battlefield units.
Liveuamap is reporting another Mil-35 down. So, it seems that Russia is, indeed, intensifying it’s air campaign, as, I believe, was to be expected. With the battle lines set, I’d expect the Russians would attempt to “soften-up” Ukrainian positions with aerial bombardment.

Interestingly, the Russian push out of Crimea seems to be more intended to move north than east and west.

I don't know is very difficult to discern the truth from propaganda in this conflict, usually in the Middle East the combatants make sure to make very nice videos of their victory for propaganda but usually those a years old conflicts, in this instance i think what the Ukrainians are doing is to inflate their victories in social media for morale purposes, which is dangerous because can give a false sense of security and could lead to more destruction and death.
