Ukrainian army’s missile hits nationalist battalion’s headquarters in dispute

"The nationalist battalion Azov refused to obey orders from and coordinate actions with the Ukrainian army’s command, deputy commander of the DPR militia Eduard Basurin informed

DONETSK, March 4. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army’ conflict with the nationalist detachment Azov has resulted in a missile strike against the nationalists’ command center in the southwest of Mariupol, the deputy commander of the Donetsk People’s Republic’s militia, Eduard Basurin, told a news briefing on Friday.
"Contradictions between the Ukrainian army’s command and the nationalist groups have developed into a direct confrontation. After the commander of the operational tactical group East, Lieutenant General Sodol, suffered lethal wounds in a clash with Azov militants, who also refused to obey any orders from and coordinate operations with the Ukrainian army’s command the headquarters of the special purpose detachment Azov in the southwest of Mariupol was hit by the Ukrainian army’s missile Tochka-U," he said.
Basurin also said on the Rossiya-1 television channel that the Tochka-U missile, fired by the Ukrainian army, destroyed 10 vehicles and left 20 soldiers of the Azov detachment killed.
Earlier, Basurin said that according to DPR intelligence sources, General Sodol had suffered serious wounds due to uncoordinated actions by the regular army and Azov nationalists. The commander’s vehicle came under fire while passing a road block."

Well there it is. Can't say I believe this news but it is on TASS.

Are Ukrainians invincible (as most Western media apparently now implies)?

"Poll: 82% of Ukrainians believe in victory against Russia. Source: Survey by Gradus research company"

In reality, Ukraine was a part of the Russian Empire for centuries before the USSR existed.
The West then did not care about the Ukrainians being ruled by a Russian Tsar or an Austrian Habsburg Emperor.

"During subsequent decades, Tsarist rule over central Ukraine gradually replaced 'protection'. Sporadic Cossack uprisings were
now aimed at the Russian authorities, but eventually petered out by the late 18th century, following the destruction of entire

In the final days of the Third Reich, some German commanders told naive members of the Hitlerjugend (armed with
a Panzerfaust and a prayer at best) to go home and not expend their young lives on a war that already was lost.

When will Western media stop glorifying the image of a 'Ukrainian grandmother with a Molotov cocktail against a Russian tank'?
In my view, it's hardly more practical than Japan urging women with only bamboo spears to fight American soldiers in 1945.

That right there is the fatal fundamental problem with current western ‘fake it till you make it’ approach to, well everything it seems.

In their post-truth world, opinion is all that matters. And it works until it doesn’t and then a lot of people get burnt extremely badly because they bought all that bullshit and are left holding the bag.

It happened with Covid, it happened with Afghanistan and it will also happen with Ukraine.

The only real difference all these lies and deceit will make in the end is get a hell of a lot more people killed needlessly as the Ukrainians continue to fight a hopeless war beyond all reason to do so because Reddit and Twitter and the western MSM will loudly cheer them on from the safety of their homes like the Ukrainians are just about to turn the tide right up to the point a Russian soldier kicks down the last barricade and shoots the last defender in the face. And then the west will work on starting an insurgency and getting even more people killed.

True or not, this is the kind of informational and psychological warfare that I feel is a bit lacking thus far from Russia. Ukraine basically outright lies in so many instances but that artificially boosts morale to keep fighting longer. At least in this instance, there's plausibility since there is a video of a supposed Azov base in aftermath of hit. There's also video of Azov troops preventing civilians from leaving Mariupol and deploying next to residential buildings as cover. Now the Russians can start building a propaganda case against these guys and the hope is to incite some divide among the Ukrainians.

On another note, I find it hilarious the Kadyrov Chechens have been front and center of PR Campaign. Guiding lost civilians, distributing supplies, helping people trapped in dark basements. Lol your friendly neighborhood Chechenman.

Ukraine is winning the 5G war in terms of sheer volume. I don't know if its leading to improvement of the morale of defending soldiers. They definitely aren't giving up without a fight.

There is evidence it's having an adverse affect - like the current "Russian saboteur" hysteria. Even from Ukrainian sources I'm seeing people being dispensed vigilante street justice. There was even one where they killed a Chechen "saboteur" who they later realised was just a Ukrainian with a beard. There seems to be a complete breakdown in law and order in Ukrainian cities which is going to make it even harder to defend them.

The biggest success of Ukrainian propaganda is whipping up frenzied support in the western world to the point that many people are calling for war crimes against Russians, and the banning/sanctioning of Russian sports people. I don't know where they're going to go from here though, NATO won't attack Russia or support Ukraine directly. We're now seeing racist hate crimes against Russians in the west and it will do is give Putin more support when it's reported there.

I suspect the report about the missile attack on Azov is Russian propaganda.

I will post when I can find it. I thought I saw it on one of the more pro Russia twitter accounts like Zoka or ASB military. It's a video of a DPR or Russian reporter next to a crater.
