Sweden is also considering and Switzerland, despite its historical neutrality, embarks on Western sanctions on Russians. Putin achieved something that neither Hitler nor the Soviet leaders could: Unite ALL of Europe against Russia.
Wake Up call to the rest of the world: countries can not depend entirely on EU/US/JAPAN for commerce, tech and defence. Turkey, Saudi Arabia better take note.

Do you REALLY think they'd trust Russia and China more? Really?
Please stay on topic yall. Turkey and Saudi Arabia aren't in Ukraine at all.

At this point I would not be surprised if the Ukrainians were actively trying to cause a meltdown and full blown core breach at the reactor as some sort of attempted scorched-earth last ditch attempt to cause more Russian casualties and cause a delay in their advance, and the Russians moved in to stop it after getting wind.
It is not that simple.

Require lot of work, and skills. Means only the operators/local enginers could do it.

Interesting take from a French journalist living in the separatists held region of Ukraine claiming among many things that Ukrainian government has been shelling and consequently killing it's own people since 2015.

The second video is from RT showing the same video above but with a little more details and context (Russian perspective) claiming that the French panelists on the show had criticized the French journalist for reposting Ukrainian shelling of it's eastern provinces.

In Ukraine, Russian units have had to travel long distances from supply depots. That isn’t necessarily a failure, but it means there have to be pauses in an advance to allow supplies to catch up.
...
“If you get hold of one of the old Soviet maps of the rail structure, you can start to make sense of why they are putting so much importance on a place like Kharkiv,” McDermott said. “Once they have the rail hubs and can control the rail roads, they can start to fix a lot of the problems they’ve had.”
No shit Sherlock. I told this much here the other day. Western analysts... I also posted a map of the railways.

Once the Russian Army secures the area the Russian Railway Troops will move in and fix the bridges and tracks the Ukrainians blew up and equipment and supplies will roll in. Have you seen the roads in Ukraine the Russians have been rolling over? They are dirt roads! It is like they are still stuck in the Soviet Union. It is not like US in Iraq with nice paved roads courtesy of Saddam Hussein.
The whole idea you would get much mileage from moving supplies by truck on such sludge is nonsensical in the first place. It will only get worse as the Spring rains come along. So a) no the Russians aren't dummies b) they are using the right strategy for the local conditions.

As for their idea that the Russian stoppage north of Kiev is due to logistics I think they are wrong. I have two possibilities. They have decided to stop there to stay outside of artillery range after the attack on the Antonov airfield outside Kiev or they decided not to move in while talks are ongoing. The idea all those vehicles are out of fuel is, I think, a bit nonsensical. You are telling me they can't move 100km?

All this illustrates is the abject weakness of Russia’s position!

The West has cut them off from the international economic system, yet Russia is still selling to the West? What form of payment is Russia accepting, and through what payment system? Folks want to portray Putout as some sort of strategic-genius, but, my perspective, this action was quite short of long-term planning and preparation, and about 3 dimensions short of 3D Chess!

The west sanctioning Russia is driving fuel costs up and up and who is buying Russian fuel at these wildly inflated prices?

At this point the west is effectively sanctioning itself and Russia is laughing as it counts all its extra profits.

Why would Russia voluntarily cut off this gravy train?
