I have drunk Moutai from a bottle very much like this in Beijing. It could power a rocket to Mars!

Is the last Star Wars movie worth watching?
The Last Jedi was so monumentally awful that it scarred me and I didn't want to watch any of the final trilogy.

Only the first two movies Episode IV and V were any good. Episode VI was a meme fest. Oh and JJ Abrams 'inspired' recycle of the first three movies is just the most god awful plagiarism I have ever seen. And not terribly good plagiarism at that.

Don’t use the Word Plagiarism when it comes to one era of Star Wars vs another because it’s all a mix of ideas nicked from elsewhere.

Let's put it this way - episode VII-IX makes Star Wars fans doubt if the franchise is finished, Rogue One gave a ray of hope but still doubts on how the franchise going forward; then came The Mandalorian - don't need to take my word for it, just see how much acclaim it garnered from us fans...

I was a fan of Rogue One.

I also thought Solo wasn't as bad as most people make it out to be. The middle part was pretty good, but the beginning was terrible (when he was a kid) and the end (anything after Darth Maul) was unnecessary. I suppose that would make the movie too short though.

The Last Jedi was so terrible on so many levels. As a Star Wars story, as a movie itself, it was just loads of terrible crap. When the last movie came out, they said they hope it doesn't have the controversy of The Last Jedi due to "toxic fandom". I still don't know what the controversy is because the movie was so bad I never bothered to find out. When "We're running out of Starship gas!" is a plot device, what can really redeem it?

Hey friends, I just searched for keyword "Halo" in the thread but got the nearest related reply almost 6 years ago. Don't know if Halo is still a topic here.
I was a Halo fan, not only because of Master Chief and his heroism, but also the bravery, the sacrifice and determination of the whole humanity.

The initial narrative was still western style, the dirty little secret of ONI, origin of Orion-II supersoldier, the division, the conflict between UEG and her colonies. Better still, it did show the unity when the Covenant decided to annihilate us. And surely with the determination, we eventually won.

It's a shame to see Halo stories fall behind nowadays. The Mantle of Responsibility eventually becomes a joke, nobody deserve it, nor human, Forerunners or Precursors, because everyone wages a war against some other guys. The stories after Halo 3 or Halo: Ghost of Onyx are far less intersting than the space operas, and perspective of ma events become narrower, from Forerunners to AI to a tiny group of Banished.

Not quite sure if Star Wars encounters the same problem. I've only watched The Phantom Menace and Rouge One, and I quite like both, especially the latter. Rouge One provide a microscope of a big picture, just like Halo 3: ODST or Halo Reach.

If you want to understand the whole Star Wars canon watch the CGI animated "Clone Wars" & "Star Wars Rebels" on Disney plus. But first watch the films in episode order.

Now..I always see a ton of dislike towards the last trilogy of Star Wars movies. Personally I've been watching Star wars since 1977..before many of you were born. I've seen every Star Wars film in the theater..on the BIG screen. And of course at home on electronic media. I like all the films. I'm no critic. I just enjoy most SCI-FI.

Many Star Wars aficionados are critical of the last trilogy. I don't thing Disney or the producers care. Those films made big $$$$$..And for producers that is the bottom line.

On to a diffrent subject. My favorite Star Wars Character is Ahsoka Tano. I think she is the greatest Jedi in the entire Star Wars canon. Even though the character stated "I'm no Jedi" more than once.

Don't get carried away with Star Wars...It's just modern day mythology

p.s...To me The Mandalorian is the best Star Wars production from Disney.
