I just saw an interview with a longtime Canadian IOC member on CNN that seemed to be satisfied with the interview the IOC conducted with Peng Shuai. The CNN host was clearly upset he didn't go along with her narrative that Peng Shuai had to be allowed to travel to a Western country and be interviewed to confirm she was all right. The Canadian said that no one will give in to do that including the US. Clearly the US is going to force international organizations to pick a side meaning side with the US or else they're going to labeled being in bed with China like with the WTO. The US is doing the same thing they accuse China of using the world to give credibility to their narrative.

The West even had to petition for the rules to be altered so they could compete.
The serve as well as the scoring system which was changed from first to 21 to 11. This gave a lower rated player a better chance as it was thought they would have a better chance of getting to 11 than 21.
