India, getting the praise from CNN for towing the line of America's toxic gender politics.

An Indian electric scooter startup says its newest factory will be run entirely by women.
Ola Electric's "FutureFactory," in Tamil Nadu, India, will eventually employ 10,000 women, the company's co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal said in

Monday. The first group of women started working at the factory this week, and the full facility is set to open at the end of 2022.
I have no problem with gender equality. But a factory run 100% by women sounds to me more like a political stunt than an actual business model. Successful factories in other places have a better idea: hire based on merit, not gender. In a professional working environment, gender biasness is actually little different from racism, favoritism, and nepotism.

The plant will be "the world's largest women-only factory and the only all-women automotive manufacturing facility globally," according to the blog post.
Again. The Jai Hind mentality. Always must have some proclamation of "world's largest" this and that.

The move is part of a series of efforts by the company to help create a more inclusive workforce and provide economic opportunities for women, Aggarwal said. "For India to be the world's manufacturing hub, we must prioritize upskilling and generating employment for our women workforce," he added, citing a study that showed providing women parity in the labor workforce can grow India's GDP by 27%.
More women in the Indian labour force = more productivity = more GDP growth. Yeah its true. Then what is taking India so long to understand this simple concept? For decades, women have been very active in the workforce in much of East Asia, SEA, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Women participation in the workforce is a basic requirement, not some unique-selling-proposition.

So in 2021, India wants to be the world's manufacturing hub, but still cannot figure out about hiring women? No wonder India has missed out on the boat of offshore manufacturing. Sorry, too late. AI-empowered manufacturing have just arrived. This boat had been patiently waiting for India for grow up. It just cannot wait any longer. Its gone, bye-bye.

that he wants both Ola and Ola Electric to go public eventually.
Off course. When you infuse liberal politics into a business. It was made to go public. Please wait for all those liberal, pink-haired, PC investors lining up to invest. Good luck!

E-scooters are nothing new in Asia. I have seen e-scooters in China since the early 2000s. They have at least 20 years experience in e-scooters and have been aggressively exporting their e-scooters around the world. For India to displace China as the "world's manufacturing hub" of e-scooters, a 100% women factory is just not convincing enough. How about some real talk about the electric scooters that would be rolling out of that factory? No point boasting about an "all-women made in India" e-scooter if it can't compete with Chinese or Vietnamese made e-scooters. Which is what exactly is gonna happen.

This is the key point. The 4th Industrial Revolution will make obsolete the method of becoming a manufacturing country first and then steadily climbing up the value chain to become a fully developed country.

India is in big trouble

Indeed, India is in deep deep trouble. All that Indian boast about its demographic advantage of having more working age ppl than China? Its not gonna really matter when the 4th Industrial Revolution comes. Which it has already arrived and China is fully embracing it.

India had spent too many years f**king around, and getting high on Jai Hind delusions. The developed countries have learned their lesson about overdoing offshore manufacturing. So they will not be too excited to setup another 'world factory'. They are just paying lip service to India wrt setting up manufacturing there.

Nevertheless, I'm predicting that the Indian elites are gonna embrace 4IR too. You know, if China has it, then so too must India! They'll just conviniently ignore that Indian 'demographic advantage'. Just like their plethora of failed old promises. I'm sure they never truly cared about job creation and poverty alleviation. So there's gonna be even more unemployed and hungry Indians. Good luck to social stability!

And I too won't even hold my breath that Indian 4IR is gonna become a stunning success. Be prepared to see yet another Indian big-slogan screw-up.

Lmaoooo I'm speechless. Check back in a few years tho
With how India seems to have rape news almost all the time and not once did the government do anything to solve such a horrible situation, it wouldn't be a surprise if somehow, they manage to commit a mass rape party of over 200 victims and the government still refuses to do anything about it. I suspect they really do take pride in being the rape capital of the world although no one if there right mind should ever take pride in that kind of title (although I believe India is too hopped up on spices to really care).

680 thriving Chinese villages along Indian borders cause of concern, says expert

Gandhinagar, September 25

In a shocking revelation, the Advisory Board of the Global Counter Terrorism Council has said that China has built 680 'Xiaokang' (prosperous or thriving villages) along its border with India.

These villages are meant to lure the Indian villagers towards a better Chinese life, and are also supposed to serve as additional eyes and ears for Beijing.

"China has built around 680 Xiaokang, which they call as 'well off' villages on our borders with them, and Bhutan borders. These villages are inhabited by their people who come and live in and impress the local Indian population how well off they are with the Chinese government.

"These are intelligence operations, security operations from their side. They try to 'turn people anti-India'. So we are training our police personnel, regarding these attempts and sensitising them on how to counter their moves," Krishan Varma, a member of the Advisory Board to the Global Counter Terrorism Council told IANS.

Varma, a former special secretary with the Government of India (GoI), was at the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) in Gandhinagar on Friday in a programme marking the end of a 12-day specialised training programme for 16 probationary Deputy Superintendents of Arunachal Pradesh Police at RRU. He's also the Emeritus Resource Faculty, School of International Cooperation, Security and Strategic Languages with Media at RRU.

"So the RRU has designed a special tailor-made course for Arunachal Pradesh Police, so as to counter the Chinese attempts of infiltration. The RRU-designed programme is specific to the needs of the northeastern state and was created in consultation with Arunachal Pradesh DGP RP Upadhyaya, who had visited Gujarat two months ago," said Varma.

The RRU sessions trained the personnel not only in forensics and investigation techniques but also provided an introduction to the dark web, cybercrime and crime scene management, internet banking, fraud, fake news detection, and Chinese and internal security challenges for police officers in the northeast.

"They (Chinese) are very advanced in the field of technology, especially the internet and social media. They are using social networking sites to mislead the people of India, to spread false narratives. So we taught them these. The northeastern border areas are very sensitive and it's absolutely necessary for them to know about such attempts of subversion," added Varma.

"We are also teaching them Mandarin (Chinese language) as the persons infiltrating speak it. The university has designed a one-year course which gives a basic knowledge of the language. In future, the RRU has plans to come up with five-year course of Masters, where they'll understand their culture, history, needs, habits and policies," added Varma. IANS
