Bro, domestic politics in US is far more complicated than Democrats vs. Republicans.

When you introduce the word "Liberals" , not all Democrats are liberals. Half of the democrats are Corporatists/Centrists. Biden is a moderate centrist democrat who half-agrees with Trump and Republicans on many issues. Biden is essentially 'Republican-Lite', but he does not represent all of the democratic views on domestic issues.

To boil down the entirety of US politics as "Democrats" (ignoring liberals vs. corporate Democrats ) are same as "Republicans" (ignoring establishment Republican vs. Fanatical Trump far-right) is the epitome of "too simple, too naive." On foreign policy, they are virtually identical with varying degrees of US imperialism (still imperialism), but on domestic politics, it's too complicated to say they are the same.
Take all that rainbow flag waving politically correct SJW cancelling bullshit on the surface.... and well the Democrats are just as culpable of what the Republicans are doing regardless if they're centrist Biden types, Bernie bros, or far left AOC libtards. Both parties siphon millions of taxpayer dollars to their friends and family. The goal is to line the pockets of their best buds, and then to capitalize once they're out of office. The only difference is that the Democrats do so under the guise of being social justice libtards, and the Republicans as bigoted zealot conservatwats. They're all too busy making bank throughout the revolving door to actually affect change that'll improve the wellbeing and livelihoods of the average American. The Clintons and Obamas are just as corrupt as the Bushs and Trumps.

Your back-and-forth with solarz epitomizes the definition of a 白左:

But you (and @solarz and @AssassinsMace ) can’t seem to stop talking about me, can you? I mean literally, you are talking about ME! All the other members that disagreed with what I said make their arguments with logic and facts, and mostly with respectful language. Sure none of us end up change our views. but none expected some online discussion was going to create a dent in the universe either. But you (and the other two) went straight to attack me personally. Who the F**k you guys think you are to question how I should use the forum and when I should post. I may be new to posting on this forum, but I am not new to being a decent human being and definitely not new to dealing with bullies, online or in real life. So if you guys keep making it personal to me, then bring it on. But IF you need to talk about members on this forum to perform some kind of FUNCTION, you need to do it privately, because the way you are doing it, right in front of my face, make you look like A**holes.

As for making Brigadier, I am not successful enough in real life to pursue an online career like you.

You need to calm down a bit. At the risk of being accused of telling you what and how to write on this forum. I'll point out at no times did anyone of us use profanity like yours at another member.

Also at the risk of being accused of schooling you. You do know it's against forum rules. With language like that directed at other members will get you banned.

Which is the point I was making about "brigadier". But you tool It out if context, and think we are boasting or something. It wasn't meant to "boast" it was to illustrate to you why we are not "fanboys" because if we had been, and get upset at a slightest thing, and then blow our tops off with profanities. We wouldn't have last this long.

Alexander usually makes very sensible comments. In this video, his tone was particularly concerned and alarming about the US policy on China, after reviewing the recent visit to China by Mrs. Sherman. I happen to agree with many of his observations and comments in this video. Recommended to watch.

I know this is from National Interest, but more importantly the article is written by Graham Allison, who is the Douglas Dillon Professor of Government at the Harvard Kennedy School. He is the former director of Harvard’s Belfer Center and the author of Destined for War: Can America and China Escape Thucydides’s Trap?

Some contents of the article are from a report by Harvard’s China Working Group titled “Great Rivalry: China vs. the US in the 21st Century,” prepared as part of a package of Transition Memos for the new administration after the November 2020 election.

The major findings from the report:

In brief, the major findings of our report across the five arenas are these. First, China is not only rising. It has already risen to a point that it has upended the post-Cold War order: geopolitically, economically, technologically, militarily, diplomatically, and politically. Washington officials continue straining to see China in our rearview mirror. They insist that it is no more than what they call a “near-peer competitor.” Reality says otherwise. The time has come to recognize China as a full-spectrum peer competitor of the United States. As such, it poses a graver geopolitical challenge than any American living has ever seen.

In terms of the Five Stages of Grief by the late Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, one can view this report as (relatively) gently pushing the US to transition towards the bargaining stage, but I suppose we'll continue to see a lot of anger coming out of the US. It'll be a painful transition for anyone, let alone a superpower.

"In pursuit of this mission, China sent its biggest-ever team to Tokyo with 777 athletes to America’s 621."

Huh? Where the heck did Professor Allison got this figures from? From what I know, Chinese Olympic delegations number is below 777 unless someone can correct and give me the correct figures here.

Did he confuse the slot machine's winning number with the number of Chinese athletes sent?

According to Wikipedia, China sent 431 athletes to the Tokyo Olympics.

Yeah, I noticed that figure too when I read the article. Just ignore it. I think he just wants to use the current Olympic Games to generate more interest in his article.

No, being factually wrong as a professy is a sign of utter and complete intellectual dishonesty, lies and pure propaganda warmongering.

There is no excuse for being unintentionally factually wrong when resources are easily available even to regular civilians to fact check - unless factual accuracy is unnecessary.

He is an insidious apologist for empire just like the rest.

I get the feeling that he is getting more and more disappointed with the west (mainly the US and UK and EU in general) while he is becoming progressively more impressed with Russia and China as time goes on. I do recommend watching this guy, he is a much need voice of reason these days
