The Chinese broke the Asian record in 4x100m women's freestyle and Li Bingjie won bronze medal, and set the Asian record in 400m women's freestyle.Disappointing day for China so far. Barely lost gold in swimming and diving

The source is from watching how western media would describe Chinese athletes over the years.Do you have a source that proves this is a western media claim.
Yeah, not sure what's at play here.
The deadlines for signing on the dotted line for atheletes/sponsor/federation/OC agreements extends to weeks and months prior to the event. There are multiple reminder including visual ones (where you have to do your headshots and team shots).
In any case, you can't quite wear any shirt. OC rules require that team gear be uniform in both overall design and colours. Logos are strictly policed in terms of location and size. That said, in extremis, it's not like he can't tape over the Yonex logo while donning the team kit and stay in compliance. It's not a good look but lots of athletes go that route because they can't be arsed to submit every bit of kit for approval or let go of a fav piece of kit because it doesn't quite comply with OC guidelines..
Yes but silver is still wonderful achievement. Both events were upsets Chinese athletes were favourites coming in. And both were so close. In the women's butterfly event, chen was beaten by another asian, original from China and adopted by Canadian parents.
There is some backlash on social media regarding the reporting now. Abit if a non isuue but I guess people are bored.
And there is a mixed race asian in the same final only 18 years old from America so she is gonna to be a future star.
The diving synchro was so nail biting wow. I thought China had it in their final dive it was close to perfect but to be fair they messed up their 3rd dives and the Brits were good throughout. Still can't stand Tom Daley though

I thought it was Zhang Yufei who got second in women's butterfly 100m. Her time was nearly her personal best and Asian record. It's not choking though. Chen swam a really fast time it's just that mcneil performed slightly better.
The diving team made a slight error. It happens. Plus that was a high degree difficulty dive that was harder than all their opponents. the last dive they did was near perfect. But alas it wasn't enough just by small margin

All medal winners are supposed to be tested anyway?Shooting though.. world record holders doing well, placing first in qualifications, etc
Then ending up with bronze or nothing at all. I know it happens, but when it keeps happening multiple times in a row its annoying lol.
Some bad luck this time around. Ideally China could have had 4-5 more golds and 8-9 more medals overall as of right now.
I was hoping for that so that when the inevitable onslaught of American medals during the track and field comes around, China could at least hold on to a gold medal lead.

Looks like Indians are making shit up again. Can't find any source for this other than this Indian rag (?)
