WTF?

Italy beat England 3-2 in a nail-biting penalty shootout on Sunday night, winning the UEFA European Championships for the first time since 1968. However, while Italians erupted in

, some dismayed England fans turned their anger on their team’s three black players who missed their penalty kicks.

Much has been written about the shameful racist abuse hurled at these players, but the day after the final, even as Italians were being physically

managed to find a more obscure source of racism: the Italian team itself.
“The most striking aspect of Italy’s 26-man squad before it took to the pitch was that, alone among the main contenders, it did not include a single player considered as being of color,” the article read, noting: “Although three were born in Brazil, they are of Italian descent.”
WTF is that? This reply says it best.

Typical British media "Look over there!" bullshit. Real racism happening on the streets of London on black players and Italians. Hey look at over there at the Italian football team! Sure Italian football has its share of racism, but that does not excuse what is happening in England. Now Italy is again being subjected to the same BS that the British media is doing to Russia and China.

(One bad doesn't mean other bads are justified but ok have your way)

Go ahead become Xi Escobar, CCP cartel no one's stopping anyone

But we as world shouldn't look down on Britian for making money by exporting opium as they were just protecting it's interests

If we can't come to a consencious that use of drugs on civilian population for "strategic" reasons is pathetic then losing hope in humanity
I understand you have reservation about illicit drug, narcotics use is morally reprehensible
But do you know that cia itself is complicit in drug trade? Most likely till this day
Have a read about cia contras scandal
Also do you honestly believe if the situation is reversed, the us wouldn't use drugs on China?

There are all kind of Yanks. Perhaps Fareed Zakaria type.
They're all kinds of Chinese, Perhaps you're the racist type of Chinese?...

Give respect take respect

Man coming out here with subtle not so subtle racist digs for simply stating a point on a public forum

@bajingan we'll have to agree to disagree here I guess

Don't think drug peddling should be encouraged by nation states especially as a weapon and should always be considered a morally reprehensible act (whoever does it)

Every country considers the other hostile country as evil - gives em a reason to fight on

US probably does it with China and vica versa but deliberately hurting ordinary people with no real strategic gain except pain and misery for already poor people is not the way of noble societies and shouldn't be an acceptable practice

Precisely, besides there is a much better alternative, than playing the narco gangster game. Besides the West has been playing narco gangster for a long time and given the shamelessness of its propaganda, it is a game that China would probably lose.

Far more interesting for the legacy of the Opium Wars is to look at the where the profits went, what they enabled and what now exists on these foundations. You will find many big establishment families and company's institutions in the West and these will be ripe for targeting re sanctions and other measures.

The high moral ground in this instance, really is the High Ground.

BBC reports of Afghans fleeing from bombs and bullets between the govt and the Taliban forces as the US and NATO forces leave. Like this is some news.

How about the truth? Which is Afghans have been running away from bombs and bullets for decades. The fighting have never stopped even before the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Afghans were still running from bombs during the entirety of US's and NATO's War On Terror in Afghanistan. Until the country is left alone to sort itself out for good, Afghans will continue running away from bombs and bullets.

You have to spare us with your American style moral indignation dude. It's your country who has enough blood on it's hands for exacting inhumane and barbaric acts that any human beings under any normal circumstances would consider abhorrent and despicable. But the historical facts and evidence are laid bare in front of you Yankee doodles but are pretty much complicit to your country's evil deeds and most of you go to sleep with no qualms and or guilt about all the shitty things your country has been guilty of doing and are still doing this very day.

You will not get any or hardly any sympathy for your sincere call or wish for "sparing" your fellow Americans. It's clear your country will show none to us Chinese therefore it's a folly and a fool's errand to take the high road or worse, pretend that if we keep taking the high road somehow, someway it'll enlighten your fellow esteemed Americans from realizing that Chinese people deserve just as much right and the right to live and be governed under our own system free from meddling, interference and fake outrage from your crocodile concerns of "Uyghur genocide" and freedom (chaos) in Hong Kong, and territorial stealing of Taiwan that has never belonged to the U.S. since it's inception as a Republic in 1776. Here am taking the "legalist" view of only the strong makes the rule which your country at it's current iteration is able to dictate and act without repudiation or consequences. All your country's pretty and pretentious words are just that pretentious which rings hollow in the face of overwhelming evidence of atrocities, barbarism against countries it label as it's enemy.

I considered bombing and starving innocent civilians morally reprehensible and evil.

"China is gravely concerned about a US air force plane landing on the island of Taiwan on Thursday, and any trespass of foreign ships or planes into China's airspace or territorial waters will result in serious consequences, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense said on Thursday, and it warned the US to stop playing with fire"..
