This article claims AZ is the world's most widely used vaccine, yet according to this:

Of the 2.6 billion doses administered globally, 1 billion comes from China and 0.3 billion from US. Neither country uses AZ. Therefore, the claim that AZ is the "most widely used vaccine" seems highly dubious.

Unfortunately I was not able to find any actual numbers for a definitive answer.

This page says AZ is the most sought after vaccine with 3 billion doses ordered:

However, "ordered" does not mean administered, or even manufactured. Furthermore, this statistic is suspect of itself, as the Chinese vaccines together only add up to less than 600 million.

So does anyone have definitive numbers for vaccine administration worldwide?

The Indians still claim to be the largest vaccine producer. But China had vaccinated more than 1 billon doses of Chinese vaccines, while India has administered about 300 million. Indian produced AZ vaccines are not wanted worldwide.

Western propaganda is pretty hilarious at times.

They could not stop mentioning China whenever anything bad happens, real or imaginary (nuclear powerplant total non-story getting massive coverage and hype as the most recent example), but when it comes to Covid, they act as if China doesn’t exist.

But just look at the relieved glee at how the reported on India, and now the ‘failing containment’ of East Asian model countries and can you easily see the reporting frenzy that would have happened had China bungled its covid response.

Exactly.

  • China success? Quiet. Super silent.
  • India fail? Gleeful reporting on those backward helpless savages.
  • East Asian democracies faltering? Oh no, see East is not that great.
  • China faltering? Gleefully excitement, AHA!
  • China failure? O-M-F-G (jizz yourself 100X). End of History.

The propaganda is so blatant, they don't even hide it anymore.

One must wonder when there is going to be some sort of karmic backlash sooner or later since we all know how the trade war, hk riots, Huawei and even this pandemic and heck the conclusion of the g7 ultimately went for the west in general so I honestly wonder when the almighty one finally decides, since these idiots won’t learn some humility and humble themselves, maybe the only way they will learn is if they lose all of their ill gotten gains, starting from the stature of liberty

Great take on the vaccine and Taiwan as well.

Great read:

Only rarely would the two dominant economic powers, namely Germany and France, of the European Union do the Chinese or anyone a favor, however unintentional, and the beneficiaries should savor it since the next one maybe a longtime coming.

For politics sake, these Euros north of the Pyrenees want to deny recognition to the Chinese and Russian vaccines -- Sinovac, Sinopharm and Sputnik V -- in part to protect their own brands -- Pfizer BioNtech, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Johnson&Johnson, this last under the name Janssen.

The rebuff of the Chinese, Russian and farther afield Cuban too is a medically unjustified snub since these excluded types using more conventional methods of inoculation have been proven as efficacious with fewer nasty side effects.

What this stance means, unless revised, could be a barrier to high spending Chinese tourists in Europe, those who plunged 750 billion pound sterling into their travels a year before the Fort Detrick pestilence in part to buy overpriced brand trinkets whose appeal was more snobbery than esthetics. Bad news then for Louis Vitton, Cartier, Channel, Mont Blanc, Longchamp, Gucci, Löwe, Versace, Valentino, Prada which in any case were falling out of fashion when I last checked in an amateur sociological survey conducted in Paris, Milan, Barcelona, Berlin and London where I sojourned customarily prior to Fort Detrick infected springs, noticing the scarcity of Chinese forming queues outside those boutiques strangely quiet.

Henceforth then the deep pocketed mainlanders could stay home side to explore their own vast country, Russia, Central Asia and Latin America rather than to bore themselves numbed going to the umpteenth cathedral, gallery, ancient university and museum, the contents of which could be seen free of charge on 4K YouTube, narration provided via high fidelity with accompanying musical scores.

The Euros not welcoming the Chinese could be a relief for everyone and all the more since a Shenzhen theme park has replicated all the main monuments -- ersatz yes but that is just detail. As for me, I will follow my own advice to find my beloved Portugal in Macau, Spain in Cuba, Germany in Qingdao, France in Québec, Italy in New York and would not miss a beat.

Dont forget that the Chinese vaccines were also exported to many other countries as well.

Does that mean that EU wont allow visitors from Latin America, Middle East, ASEAN and Africa?

EU are clowns so expect them to soon backtrack on this
