“We have a stand here and I want to state it here and now again that our ships there... we will not move an inch backward,” Duterte said, adding “I will not withdraw. Even if you kill me. Our friendship will end here.”

If China backs down from the threat of actions based on what the Philippine President has declared then China will come off like a toothless and fangless Dragon of which all the other competing claimants will most likely imitate the same tactic and many other countries led by the U.S. would find no reason not to push or encourage Taiwan into the "Independence" route.

I for one don't envy the unenviable position of Pres. Xi Jinping and F.M. Wang Yi. To look impotent in front of the assertive challenge being made in the Philippines and not doing anything strong to dislodge and discourage Philippines bellicose attitude is an invitation for the vultures to pounce. But on the other hand, If China acts aggressively and manage to sink any of the meager Philippine Navy contingency it'll be portrayed as China being a massive bully and it'll open an invitation for further sanctions from the more than happy, willing, and giddy U.S. along with it's western allies, including the Japanese hentai crew. Oh boy, what a conundrum for China. Any suggestions? Lol

What Greyzone is that? I think China is being pushed to take some kind of kinetic action in order for the U.S. ready made narrative to be driven and kicked on overdrive to really damage China's standing in the eyes of the world that's on the fence between choosing a known evil a.k.a. the U.S. or the one's being touted as the worst than the devil herself, Chyna.

We all know what Israel wants from Palestine. The problem for Palestinians is that they have lost a lot of leverage due to the Arab States abandoning it (yes, it is abandonment).

They are at a weak position now which is why Israel has smelled blood and has jumped in to take a bite out of it. IMO Palestine should lower the bar for an agreement with Israel

I doubt that Israel, feeling strong, will accept it now though... very complex stuff here and too many interests involved to have a clear view of what is happening

This is why they should accept the Chinese FM invitation to have some open and frank talks between them to see where each side stands and if they can find common ground

Advice for Palestine, I share their concerns and their wish for be left alone, but remember, the original sin is weakness. That you are weak is the first fault. The other are the traitor Arab States which have turned their backs to it. So another weakness here.

To sum up, when weak, compromise. When strong, grab and bite
Agreed with most points except for the Chinese FM invitation. Palestine has not rejected any such meeting. Its Israel that doesnt give a fk. Why would Israel sit down and talk when they have the media with them, the US backing them on all fronts, the neighbours who're also implicitly supporting them?
Israel has no incentive to talk. Zero.

These statements are expected from "Strongmen" leaders. Afterall their entire image comes from being an apparent badass.
China has been provoked to much greater degree in the past but kept its cool and continued to march forward.
The route to regional dominance doesn't come from spanking Philippines or Vietnam but through Taiwan. Once Taiwan is re-unified, that would automatically end US hegemony in the region and all these little nations that like to flex too much would fall in line. Everything starts and ends at Taiwan.

This isn't the own that the anglos believe it is; it's actually a self own- tearing out Huawei components is going to cost anglo taxpayers which is understandably of no consequence to the anglo oligarchs who couldn't care less about their hoi polloi.

Secondly, they're going to also pay Ericsson who will then pay Huawei its royalties to use 5G tech- royalties which will go towards funding 6G tech.

I think it's safe to say the anglo elites are expressing an extinction response of fury- that's the reason why they want war NOW. They believe they have the military edge and they believe it won't last.

This is going to cost the USA dearly since with all the effort the USA is using right now has yet to yield the desired result they so desperately want and such a grave cost to themselves economically, societal and health wise. This time round, this idiotic campaign of driving a nation into a corner to force them to fight so that they can slay the monster like heroes may not work at all given how much weaker the USA is right now along with Europe and given that Russia and Iran have been victims of this scheme in the past, it is very likely that all these nations are just waiting for the right moment to strike (given how bad the cyber attack on the pipeline is, one must shudder at what a really hack could be like) meaning that they may get the devil they wish for, but this devil will wipe out the USA along with all the allies and basically do what the Germans failed to do to the Jews so in the end really, the USA/west has had multiple chances to stop but In The end, it may require near genocide of the west to simply teach these fools a very simple lesson, stop poking the bear/dragon otherwise, well any idiot could figure it out unless the education in the USA and the west has deteriorated that much. Really, genocide is wrong no matter what one says but if people keep on pushing and pulling without end and does so with that stupid look that says I can do what ever I want because I am right, can any one blame them if someone snaps bad enough and finally does the unthinkable.
