We all know what Israel wants from Palestine. The problem for Palestinians is that they have lost a lot of leverage due to the Arab States abandoning it (yes, it is abandonment). The thing is that there are no both sides to it. That would suggest some form of parity. One side is a nuclear power with the best military in the the region. The Other side consists of helpless folks who see their homes, land stolen from them on a daily basis. A "state" that doesn't even have a standing army of its own . All they manage to do is build $100 rockets that Israel intercepts for fun.
All that hullabaloo about Hamas firing rockets. Israel killed more Palestinians this week than those rockets have killed in the past 2 decades. There simply isn't any comparison.
Also compromise what? Palestinians have already lost 80% of their land to Israel. There nothing left to compromise anymore. For Palestinians its a fight for existence, for Israelis its nothing but satisfying their blood lust.
They are at a weak position now which is why Israel has smelled blood and has jumped in to take a bite out of it. IMO Palestine should lower the bar for an agreement with Israel
I doubt that Israel, feeling strong, will accept it now though... very complex stuff here and too many interests involved to have a clear view of what is happening
This is why they should accept the Chinese FM invitation to have some open and frank talks between them to see where each side stands and if they can find common ground
Advice for Palestine, I share their concerns and their wish for be left alone, but remember, the original sin is weakness. That you are weak is the first fault. The other are the traitor Arab States which have turned their backs to it. So another weakness here.
To sum up, when weak, compromise. When strong, grab and bite
