The second wave is also hitting the Delhi upper and middle class very hard. After all they are the one that could afford to be treated in the many private hospitals which eventually ran out of oxygen. There is hardly any report or visuals on the plight of the poor and rural people. Probably most cases go unreported.

The mood has changed and Modi and allies are facing the wrath of Indian public. Many are questioning the need to build world tallest statue, while ignoring public medical facilities. People are blaming politicians during crisis. But hardly anyone question the system that bring them in.

Yep. This is one in a century chance for Chinese Pharma industry to gain significant ground, domestically and internationally.

Chinese Pharma companies are going to make bank after this covid thing. They have gained international recognition, invested lot of money for R&D, domestic production everywhere, new vaccines to be marketed etc.

Stonks!!!
As these mRNA vaccines will need booster shots each year to deal with variants, China's mRNA vaccines still have a lot of chances to ramp up production next year.

After being thrown under bus by its quad "allies" is india still enthutiastic about joining them?
China should use this opportunity to wean indian off anglos influence, but if that even possible given indian superpower delusions?
Just go check the Ladakh thread, there's one persistent Indian fella who insists to this day that his country's version of events are what unfolded, meaning Jai Hind. Which goes to show the grand delusions of the current mindset that's pervasive in India right now that has a dehabilitating effect on China-India relationship.

Are the Indian elites willing to risk a professionally organized Color Revolution Protest?
We already know the world's largest protest ( farmer protest ) is nothing but a nuisance to the Indian elites.
Colour revolutions don’t happen out in the wild on their own without a major (western) power organis and bankrolling it.

Just look at the farmers protests and how much change that managed as an example of the utter futility of actual grassroots movements.

If the poors complain, the Indian elite and media can just dig into their archives of mass graves in New York and hospitals overflowing with the dead and dying in Europe to ‘prove’ to them that this is just how it goes. It also helps that Indian media is so virulently anti-China that nothing of how well China has done has been allowed to ‘poison’ the minds of the Indian masses, who will just automatically assume however bad they have it, it must be worse in China by default.

Chinese analysts predicted daily new cases in India may peak at 500,000 in the next two weeks, and it needs at least a month optimistically for India to control the second wave. The real numbers are much higher than recorded as many homeless people infected with the virus have not been included, analysts said.

The worsening coronavirus situation in India will also deal a heavy blow to its economy, as its economy may be back to the size it was 20 years ago, and is likely to affect the stability of South Asia, Hu Zhiyong, who has closely followed the coronavirus situation in India since a year ago, told the Global Times on Saturday.

500k daily cases in 2 weeks, and an economic setback to 20 years ago? Those are very bold predictions. Sounds crazy for any country, let alone India. Let's see what happens in the next 2 weeks. Let's see what happens to project: "India Superpower".

Meanwhile the Indian government is still busy playing politics in this disaster.
The Times of India reported on Thursday that India was looking to import oxygen from countries in the Gulf and Singapore, but not China even if China said it is ready to help, as China was "not among the countries India was looking to source oxygen from."
India wants to move closer with Western countries led by the US. But Western countries are busy canceling diplomatic exchanges and suspending flights from India, and the US did not lift its restrictions of exports of vaccine raw materials that India urgently needs, Hu said.
Not surprising at all. It's a pity that it's the poorer and lower classes in India who have to suffer the most. Those Indian elites, Jai Hinds, and Bhahkts always suffer last. Well nobody can help India at this point. Good luck to them.
