But this is also why in my opinion that China was smart in not taking or making the ladakh situation a much more punitive measure by blitzing the Indian forces thereby creating less breathing space or more open possibility in cooperation like potentially assisting the India in it's darkest hour of need. The military defeat or humiliation of India would have made for chest thumping bragging rights for the PLA but I think it would have been a strategic set back for China long term. Can I just say that with the whole India situation and with the US banning exports of raw materials to them to make vaccines that China is getting a massive free diplomatic win.
Here is Xi message for so many years on how China would behave internationally as a Great Power
“Common but differentiated responsibilities”
"Community with shared future for mankind"
Xi is winning big right. The whole world can witness first hand the differences between the US-led values and Chinese values.
I am sure that India would appreciate if the Chinese values were dominant right now
As a great great man once said "It is what it is"...
Thank goodness that China and Chinese leaders seem to operate real "strategy" and not just b.s. slogan I often hear from almost all western politicians when we all know it's double speak because what most of them care about is the short term interest for political expediency = votes and power.
