That is why China has near zero new cases, why Chinese can live almost freely every day right now. You gain months and years of freedom by paying 21 days. Simple math. If someone is not able to take that 21 days, he/she really has a nerve too weak to be a Chinese. ;)
It’s also a test, because people who can’t take 21 days of quarantine are also most likely to be the kind who lack self control and discipline and are most likely to be infected and pass it on to others. Call it a Karen test if you would.

Having my second shot of Sinovac today. Something interesting (or terrible) happened, not to me but another guy that he took the first shot of Sinopharm but went to the wrong place and took the second shot of Sinovac. I know medical workers should have had checked his card but they were careless and allowed the incident to happen. I didn't stay to wait to see how they solved it.

Just curious, mixed vaccines have been talking for sometime but no one has really done it yet. What would be the result?

Nothing serious. Chances are, he'll likely need to take another dose of Sinovac. Consider the Sinopharm shot wasted.

(Disclaimer :Not a medical advice. Don't take any over the internet)

@SteelBird again bravo to your gov't!!!! me and my wife had to wait again due to lack of vaccine. Sinovac had been well received after favorable review abroad, my shot had been allocated to the front liners.

Millions of shots around the world, there are stories of Moderna and Pfizer mixed up, Pfizer and Astra, etc.
I believe they just do another shot of what it was supposed to be in a couple weeks in most cases.

Anyone under the age of 60 in Germany who received Astrazeneca for the first vaccination, but belongs to the risk group with regard to thrombosis, will receive BionTech for the second vaccination. The problem is or was that mixed vaccination has not yet been sufficiently scientifically investigated. I don't know if there are any investigations going on.

Some say a mixed vaccination would provide better protection.
