Its actually true. The Financial Times ran a story about how the number of deaths are underreported by Indian authorities by 10 times or even more.So many Indians are talking about underreporting of numbers in the Comment section of YouTube videos.
But different parts of the world have different interests. If India is allowed to fester into the hellhole it is and deserves to be, the many new variants that emerge will devastate the same countries again as the original COVID did. All the countries that tout the "I'll do whatever I want cus I'm in a free country" attitude will get hit hard again and all the responsible countries with citizens that listen to their government's warnings will jump over that wave just like they did before. And we all know that in the China vs USA power struggle, which country belongs with which group. I'd love to watch China overtake the USA the old fashioned way as much as anybody but it'd also be interesting to see just how many COVID waves it takes to directly smother American's economy to number 2.Its the world's interest to help India. If the virus is allowed to spread there it would inevitably create new variants and mutations.
This is playing with fire and thus the virus must be stopped from spreading uncontrollably. Modi should wake up, and do his job, properly
Not so fast, daily vaccinations have still not hit the 10m goal.
Maybe they had other health conditions. In that case there may be some discretion involved.I just heard some shocking news from a colleague who recently had two deaths in the family, one of which was a result of Covid. In both cases, the family was asked if they wanted Covid listed on the death certificate.
That is absolutely bonkers, as it should not be down to the family to decide these things!
This utterly destroys what little faith I had left in the UK’s statistics on Covid.
I had a quick search and there is nothing on this in the western MSM as far as I can see.
