As I know, the Tibet Military Region is not subordinated to the Western Theater Command.
The Tibet Military Region is directly subordinated to PLAGF.

First regiment of Xinjiang Military District to receive Type 15. This regiment also received a batch of 8x8 battlefield ambulance. The footage is them taking the tanks out to 4,300m above sea level for localisation exercises.

Interesting they are not deploying desert camo ZTQ-15s there. I wonder if it's an oversight or a conscious decision. Maybe they won't be staying there for long? Where exactly is this? Maybe the place in the summer has a lot of greeneries? Thoughts?

Looking at the emblem there, its raised up which suggests that its actually a magnet and not something that is permanent.

Interesting, the RWS isn't operated electrically but by the crew manually rotating it which limits its firing arc, is it because of cost or an electrically operated one is too big for a tank this size? Or maybe they don't expect to be flanked?

EDIT: Actually i might be mistaken, I realised the RWS is mounted behind the hatches, and that what the commander is rotating is actually his periscope.
