Hi horse,

good day bro, Carl Zha youtube about ABC , it's so revealing that reverse brain drain is actually happening rapidly, the xenophobia created by Trump and opportunity China offer is a way out of their current conundrum. Go forth my compatriot let a hundred flower bloom.
Hi ansy1968,

Kind of cold here, hope you staying warm, lol.

The brain drain is becoming less and less of an issue anymore in my humble view, because China itself graduates a large numbers of STEM degrees. Perhaps the most in the world.

Has the brain drain actually reversed and going the other way? That could be bad for American companies.

Let's face it, Intel gave up at 10nm fabrication. Does SMIC have 10nm fabrication and lower?

What really has me interested is that quantum computer they build. I really think it is kick ass. Even though I am not even a scientist or engineer.

Look at the thing. Look at that diagram. Now, stand up and walk away from the computer screen at least 10 feet. That diagram looks like a printed circuit board. A circuit board only has one function basically, let it do what it does.

But, that quantum computer is scalable. So let's say you make four of them all sitting together, all those circuit boards, four of the same quantum computer they built.

Now the engineering can have the laser, the splitters, the crystals, change angles or turn the off or on, or whatever, have those devices connected by the engineers to a computer or levers. So if you want some other quantum program done, just pull a couple of levers you know, lol.

What is a semiconductor chip? That is circuitry, mirco-circuitry. There is a path for the electricity to flow through. The 1 and 0. Look at that diagram of the quantum computer. That is where the photon flows through, just like the circuitry.

The semiconductor chip has many paths, or instruction sets (I think that is what that is called, the assembler language, probably use the EDA tools to design that). The quantum computer diagram, that has only one path, only one instruction set, to execute only one program.

Doesn't this mean, they could just adjust the configuration to the set up, or instruction set, or paths of photons, and create a different program to be run? Seems to me that is what they could be able to do at UTSC in China with that experiment next if they wanted. Maybe they won't tell anyone this time.

Talking out loud here because this forum has engineers and programmers, and they are smart, would like to hear comments.

That is why I believe the Liberal media will not tell us the truth about this. We got to think about it for ourselves.

:p

Hi horse,

Thanks bro, the advantage of living in a tropical region  . Your point on AI and Quantum is sharp as always, Here we all start at zero, we had the talent and resources, I may sound arrogant but China may had the lead.

Bingo
, listening from their discussion the window is slowly closing for ABC to leverage their bilingual skill , western experience and expertise.

Hi horse,

I know , you know that Germany will approve Huawei participation in their 5G infrastructure. Now that Trump lost the election, they now had the courage to put him and his poodle POMPOE in their places.

, Huawei has notched a win in Germany, which has approved the use of the Chinese firm’s 5G networking products in its critical infrastructure.
“We’ve created regulation that allows us to monitor trustworthiness in an appropriate fashion,” German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said of the decision. “Our security interests played a big role.”
Seehofer noted that Huawei gave Germany assurances about the safety of its networking products, meeting the country’s need to balance its security concerns with an open market for competitors. Huawei will be held financially liable for any security breaches.
As you must know, Huawei has been under attack by the U.S. government for unsubstantiated claims that the firm is beholden to the Chinese government and could use its networking equipment as a Trojan Horse to spy on the West. But China is Germany’s biggest trade partner and the biggest market for German companies. And so the country has sought a less drastic solution that would allow Huawei and other Chinese firms to compete for infrastructure contracts normally.
Huawei saluted Germany’s decision, which still needs to be ratified by its parliament.
“This means that there are higher and equal security standards for all suppliers for the 5G networks,” a Huawei spokesperson said.
