10 MIRVs each missile, carrying at least 100kt of freedom with pinpoint accuracy of 150meters. Too close for democracy's liking.
Reminding Euros if they try to be naughty, teraformation of Europe can be started from any capital of their choice.

China needs to learn the art of "messaging", There is time when you talk diplomacy, and there is time when you show off, just like uncle vlad.

Something like that being performed by China would be unprecedented and considered unnecessarily aggressive and interpreted as some sort of threat for war because it is so unprecedented. Soviets and Russia has had a history of sabre rattling with the US (not pointing fingers at belligerent side which is neither and both) so it is sort of expected and just a cyclical reminder of Russian nuclear strength in case NATO start forming silly ideas.

China firstly has no such nuclear muscle and stupidly (if actually the case) refuses to stockpile and announce it. Maybe the CCP is playing some meta strategy but this sort of act isn't for China for a variety of reasons. Russia and China while sharing adversaries, are both in different positions. A coordination of efforts if there is such cooperation, definitely would mean China is not going to posture in this exact way.

When it comes to message sending, actually China does plenty. They are just much less impressive sounding.

Well i agree with you in normal circumstances.
But when your enemy is tactical nuke user wannabes, you need to switch to aggressive mode. Sometimes war mongering helps to avoid actual war.

Hiroshima/Nagasaki wasn't tactical nuclear bombing, but strategical one.

Only luck of the world ( and China) is the extreme fast development of the Soviet bomb, without that the nuclear bombing would become the choose weapon of the USA in every war in the past 70 years.

Russia is under sanctions and is not doing well economically. It's health depends on Gas and Oil exports

China is integrated to Global Commerce and that means China must not be overly antagonistic towards West. China can develop something like that but should China do that is the better question.
JL-3 ICBM tests are ongoing and just like JL-2 had made qualitative jumps (JL-2 D), JL-3 will do too. The pointer here is DF-41 ICBM. So, JL-3 being equal atleast to the French SLBMs is a given and that is, arguably, good enough judging by the state of development of 096.

I am not sure if i entirely agree.
First, If China doesn't want to antagonize west, it has to stop developing militarily. Let's be honest.
Second, i don't think nuclear posturing atm antagonize west. But it sends the message to the relevant people in power.
I agree that China shouldn't go berserk. However, China should hit the middle node, they should invite western business in open arms so money keep coming in nice & fast, while keeping their politicians on the run.

Libya tried to placate the US. See how well it worked for them. No, China needs to negotiate from a position of strength.
Otherwise it will be another colony of the US.

Is the JL-3 based on the DF-41 or DF-31AG?
Mind you that Libya is a very small country also very weak compared to China, in all kinds of measurements.

So even though we get your point but such comparison has no practical relevance at all.
