Recently the Flight Simulator 2020 was withdraw from distribution/selling in China (only country listed as not available for sale) and many folks in China can no longer access OneDrive (even over VPN, they claim it is the US side shutdown it down) in the past several weeks, and now just today Microsoft sent out new terms of service for subscribers of its Office 365 in China highlighting that it will not be a fault for refunds if the US government request that Microsoft ceases doing business in China etc.

Just this morning, Apple is being pressured to remove TikTok and WeChat from the apple store in advance (much earlier) of/than the 45 day grace period indicated by Trumps two seperate Executive Orders...

Between this and the TikTok/WeChat ban, its clear the writing is on the wall...

To give idea how fast things are developing, I posted on r/sino about the WeChat and TikTok bans merely three weeks ago and back then many were in disbelief that WeChat could possibly get affected as well....

I'm saying it now, Microsoft is being ordered to completely remove itself from China... I wouldn't be surprised if they sent an update that crashed everyone's windows 10 in China making it unusable on the way out.

The speed and breath of such a decoupling can only point towards upcoming kinetic war.

I have been telling here that, this is exactly what will happen. China cannot continue this kind of piece by piece self-reliance policy. If China really wants to to be self-reliant, they must adopt an Country wide policy. Which means, Huawei should not develop its own OS while Xiaomi gets to keep using Android. That undermines Huawei and also gives boost to Xiaomi short term, but a future ban will waste its investments. All Chinese companies making phones should work together to come up with a single and dominant OS-services-apps platform that will be directly competing against Android-Google-Facebook-Uber worldwide monopoly. China needs to break the monopoly of the US eco-system, otherwise it will be cutoff.

A Chinese phone that doesn't have viable alternative to Facebook will not sell outside China. A Chinese phone that doesn't have a viable alternative to Gmail/Google search will not sell outside China. On the other hand, Chinese apps that can be cutoff playstore at any time will never be able to get market share worldwide and can be destroyed anytime by US ban on playstore inclusion.

So, its a stranglehold from both sides. China needs to give up on global expansion by individual tech companies and organize them to be completely free of US influence by government mandate. Which means Chinese apps will not run without a Chinese phone OS. and Chinese phone will not sell without Chinese phone OS. That kind of strict cutoff is needed to give the companies enough push to work together and come up with a comprehensive eco-system.

If not, China can and will still innovate and given that there is a depression that is coming to the world, this will give China a way out of an economic collapse via new technologies independent of the west. And since the USA is in collapse mode now and many of there corporations are going to be hemorrhaging money and going bankrupt due to trump trying to cut them out of the chinese market while not trying to invest in these companies while ensuring that the USA population isn’t wealthy enough to purchase these goods on mass (China is still there biggest market for there goods after all), then right now may be a short term gain but a long term fall of a step cliff. Honest this is going the way of the trade war, HK riots and the pandemic in that it will be a hit to China’s face first but a shot to the groin to the USA after. There actions aren’t going to stop there decline, but accelerate it even quicker.

She’s going to be tough on China!
They are all tough on China. Remember when Obama became president, people were cheering in the streets in Kenya, yet Obama didn't do anything for them. Of course Indians are more clannish, so might throw India a bone. But a lot of Indians in US either want to pretend they are not Indian or are super Indian. She haven't been very competent imo in California, so hopefully her executive skills is a left wing Trump.

She’s half Indian, and raised by her Hindu mother. Congrats to her. But she’s going to favor India.

it’s also amazing how Indian Americans have been able to climb the ladder in both American politics and Business. Very few Chinese Americans haven achieved the same success despite having similar education backgrounds.

Its called state sponsored racism.

Anyone of Chinese ancestry wanting to get into politics in the west would need to be a shameless race traitor and denounce China the loudest, the hardest and the most often to even be taken seriously.

Funnily enough, the Ven diagram that covers that level of self-hate and high levels of self-confidence and personal charisma and a basic level of base competence needed to be success in politics is like circles social distancing from each other.

There are plenty of people of Chinese ancestry who would make great political leaders living in the west, but most would not pass the ideological purity test demanded by the western political and media establishment. Those who are willing to sell out usually cannot exude self-confidence and charisma if they have a shred of integrity left. Those who can stoop so low and still put on a pretty game face for the cameras tend to ooze sliminess that voters pick up on. After all, would you really trust someone who is willing to sell out his own race and blood and get ahead in life?

At the end of the day, all this discrimination and bigotry only really serves to weaken the west, as that is a major talent pool they are squandering.

As anti-Chinese state approved and sponsored racism intensifies in the US and ideological witch hunts start harassing people of Chinese ancestry in more and more workplaces, that’s a bigger talent pool that they are depriving themselves of, as the overseas Chinese with the best skills and knowledge are also the most social mobile, and would be the first ones to move back to China, taking their skills, experience and talents with them.

If this happens for long enough, the only ones left in America would be either several generations removed immigrants who are effectively true Americans, even if they are never actually accepted as such, and race traitor economic migrants from China who sold out to go abroad because they just couldn’t cut it living in China.

When they start rounding up Chinese to throw into concentration camps like they did with the Japanese during WWII, the former would be the true innocent victims of the later, who are only getting their just deserts.

Trump: "If I don’t win the election, China will own the United States. You’re going to have to learn to speak Chinese, if you want to know the truth. And you’ll have to learn it fast. They will own the United States."
LOL
Now this is delusional, he must really be thinking that China is crazy enough to actually come and invade the US.
