If we look at smartphones, 2019 shipments were as follows

US: 166 million
China: 366 million

So China consumes twice as many smartphones as the USA.

It also looks like Chinese companies produce 40%-50% of all smartphones globally.

If Chinese companies become technology independent of the USA, they will set the defacto global technology standards.

So how would the Google app ecosystem still retain its position as the defacto global standard?
All Chinese brands need to use the new Harmony OS for their smartphones, so that the non-US ecosystem can be set up.

Standard in which Countries? The west countries will have their own standard.

Europe and America have less than 1 Billion people.

That compares with 1.4 Billion people in China
And another 5.4 Billion people elsewhere in the world.

---

Standards will depend on the specific technology, but in general, the following populations will be really open to Chinese technology:

Ex-Soviet States: 250 million
ASEAN: 661 million
Africa: 1275 million
South America: 422 million
Middle East: 371 million
South Asia: 212+161+21 million
Korea/Japan: 200 million

When you combine these with the Chinese population, you end up with 4.9 Billion people out of 7.8 Billion.
That is a majority of the global population.

The instigator is trying to provoke a reaction. If you do not react, you will drive the instigator mad thereby exposing its real intention. Then you can make the appropriate action.
Not just trying to provoke a reaction but testing limit. Your reaction will show if they can proceed or not.

I don't know what further words you don't understand. It's up to you to not use them like you always do.

You failed to refute it and I don't know what theatrical thing means. You mean you didn't understand the word "dance" so now you replace it with "thing"? LOL You are really taking a huge swing several levels higher than your debate/English skills permit.

Yes, that's true. It didn't always rely on foreign power but the US is realizing that one-vs-one it's going to lose against China so it's digging deep in its bag of henchmen grunts to see what it can come up with. Quite desperate, and still unable to stop China from closing in on it.

Yes, I "admit" that Russia is not against China and I "admit" that alliance is not inconsequential. You've lost all of your points to me so now you're inventing things for me to "admit" which I have never denied before? LOL

All these to finally do a turnaround. Lol

Oh, look the bat thinks the laser show is "very good!" Must be a quality production, eh? Look who's here with his one-liner now seeing just what he wants to see... desperate enough in this conversation to quote from a different thread, nonetheless.
Desperate? lol.
Since all this time you are in theatrical show and fanboyism. After being a little more educated you talk now about desperation. You are the one so desperaing to see US losing tech so that China tech independance have a sense of value for you.

I'm for China being more active but I can see the argument to stay neutral. Look at this trade war. Everyone even begrudging US allies see this is the US's fault. They can see how the US can turn on them because of the power the US holds on them. Canada and Mexico were the most attacked by Trump and they were the first to surrender to his will. Being liked by the US only means they hate other countries more.

China doesn't have the history of colonialism like the West does. China didn't have generations to brainwash those they colonized into thinking the Western world was the only world. If you noticed the countries that brag about being liked more than China, they have been colonized and indoctrinated by the West. If it was all about that, they wouldn't be complaining about China having things they think they deserve more. And that tells you which countries the West likes because they aren't a threat to their power. But because of that it means China doesn't have a lot of allies to choose from because a large portion of the world has been colonized and taught Western acceptance is important. In the US African-Americans and Latin-Americans say they're the most disenfranchised groups in the US. They're the ones that embrace and value Western culture the most. They worship their oppressor's God. Their cultures were the most destroyed and replace by Western culture. If all the promises of embracing Western culture were true, they would feel equal to them more than anyone else yet they think they're the most oppressed. Where's this utopia promised if everyone embraces Western culture and abandons their own? Is China bombing some country around the world every year where people don't notice because it happens so much that it's become normal? The only countries that get targeted are the ones that haven't bent the knee to the West.

The US needs no one while everyone else needs the US. If that were true, why is trump complaining? According to him the US is being ripped off by other countries yet he thinks the US is doing the greatest the world has ever seen. They shouldn't need to trade with China if it were so bad for the US. Yet they're making threats if China doesn't deal? If what they say how the world works were true, China would be behind every country the US likes but instead is ahead of all of them except the US and the US feels threatened because their position is threatened.

China is sitting pretty.
China as it is today is barely 70 years old since they destroyed their own culture as I understand it. And it's been a rocky 70 years. Other nations leaders may get chinese money but what do normal people get from chinese expansion? Communism and an orwellian police state and social credit score? Mass censorship? Chinese don't have freedom or wealth except for the upper class so they don't even do communism right since I thought the point was for everyone to be equal and get rid of classes. China's salami slicing was going to get noticed and piss everyone off at some point I'm surprised it tool this long. Now china's rise on easy mode is over and they are watched and thwarted far more than before. There is no sign of this trend ending. I think king Xi got to confident and thought nobody would ever stand up to him and now he has an alliance against him he can't beat and is still stuck in the first island chain. I don't think chinese want war for some islands and the ability to take others resources.

You are delusional, write unfounded accusations, wanton lies. Are you working for trump, CIA, NSA, FBI to broadcast fake news because US can't stand the rise of China? Why don't you get hold of yourself and read some factual stuff to educate yourself a bit better instead of coughing a load of codswallops ?

Amusing. China has almost independance in military tech but US militray is still top and not weakening. US is selling more weapon than China. China has independance in space tech but US space tech is still strong and not weakening. US sold more satellite than China.
So having tech independance mean you have room to manoeuvre like you want. It does not mean the other is necessarily losing.

It means others have much less power or no power again to restrain you manoeuvring. When it comes to IC chips and chip making equipment, it is obvious that the United States is trying to prevent China and by extension Chinese companies from accessing the most advanced chips and equipment from the rest of the world. It has gotten companies in Japan, Netherlands, and Taiwan to stop or reduce their dealings with China or particular Chinese companies blacklisted by the United States, for example. Now, because China and Chinese companies are presently not capable of producing the most advanced chips and equipment that they want and need, it is a setback. Once China is capable of doing so in areas of tech that the United States does not wish China to have such advanced tech, then the United States has lost power because it can longer prevent China as it wishes to.
