Hong-Kong Protests

Those protesters would never stop their riots. So nothing to lose. As for supporters, they want Article 23 so this is what they have been requesting. At this moment, the relationship between China and the US have sunk to new low so China doesn't care what the US thinks anymore. No more appeasement.

Agreed.
No more carrots and no more appeasement.
Perfect time to show that China is capable of defending Sovereignty over Hong Kong.

It's fine if they were protesting for themselves.

But the moment it became a surrogate movement for Five eyes/FLG disruption, a more aggressive approach needed to be taken. These people are essentially sleeper cells and domestic terrorists.

China must systematically overhaul its policies towards HK and Taiwan. in the past China trying to bribe HK, Taiwan to accept the one China policy, and those guys realise that they can cash on by selling out. China made the same mistake in dealing with muslim minorities with catastrophic consequencies. to correct a big mistake, you must be able to take harsh stand.

This is typical of what we are saying about soft power. Here we have Trump saying USA will react "strongly" if China enact Hong Kong security law. And notice not a single MSM question the legitimacy of this statement!

Lol, what has China's enacting laws within it's sovereign territory got to do with anyone else, least of all enlist a "strong" response. Lol indeed.
