This movie has potential.

Hmmm. I'm getting sick of Tom Hanks.
The promo says it's based on a true story, but unfortunately I'm not familiar with the event it is supposed to be based on.

I certainly hope it's not full of promo bullshit on how the Americans made the crucial breakthrough in capturing the Enigma code machine used by the Germans in ww2 with their film U571.

U571 was never involved in the incident and I'm pretty sure the British had captured a Enigma machine a couple of years earlier.
Another point of contention was when they were being depth charged, they depicted the German destroyer using active sonar pings when the German Navy of the time only had passive radar..

In fact their was much more inaccuracies with the film, that IIMO, it was a bit of a insult to the men who participated in the event.

Once I saw the disclaimer at the front of that trailer that says, "...inspired by actual events...", I knew this is a full on fiction story.

The movie I really want to see, but delayed or cancelled forever due to Chinese censorship is Ba Bai (800). Where the nationalist army defend Shanghai's sihang building. Trailer looked really good, but not the communist troops fighting it...

If you're a sucker for sappy fantasy-action-romances (like I am), then you'll love it.

If you are a fan of 新白娘子传奇, the ending will bring tears to your eyes.

LOVED the references!

Not a movie but a documentary mini-series (5hrs) about and from the perspective of Asian Americans. Well worth a watch even for those with above average knowledge of Asian Americans' history in the US for some tidbits you may not know about. Its scope does unfortunately but PC safely limits it to Asian Americans and US history, nothing contemporary, with minimal passing coverage of international relations and nothing meaningful of the Asian portions of first generation immigrants' lives.

Includes interviews with Not-That Gordon Chang.

Been like the rest of us catching up on movies. Watched the second half of the last 4 Bonds not bad could have been better. Movie that really got me was Justice League Dark Apokolyps war. Now first not the bombed Justice league live action this is an animated movie and Where Marvel’s untouchable are live action DC Dominates animated films. This one really went there. It’s part of a continuity starting with Justice League War including Flashpoint, Reign of the Superman, Justice League Dark, Suicide Squad, and even digging into the Young Justice titles. None of this is kid stuff this would leave children traumatized.
This was inspired by the plans that were made for the Justice League live action movies. And the it makes the Snap in Avengers look down right nice by comparison, no punches were pulled.
