They posted the wrong dates. Basin trial is supposed to be 2030. Sea trials in 2040. Only 1 number difference.

I doubt it. From all the news coverage, Indians are blissfully going about their business as usual, and not keeping to declared deadlines isn't exactly unusual for India. In fact, it is the norm.

What's the point of announcing deadlines ahead of time when the chances of meeting them are so small? Was it a publicity stunt?
Surly, the Indians must learn to be more realistic with their dates. They have a habit setting unrealistic dates with much fanfare. (to boost moral and nationalism). Then all gets let down because targets are not met! And they ended up being the laughing stock of the world!
Probably they learned this too good from the Russians.
Just remember the new carrier battle groups, that were promised in the late 1990s, the Su-57, the PAK-DA and PAK-TA ....

The master does not learn from the student. India has never been known for punctually keeping to schedules and deadlines, and it's been around for far longer than Russia.
Indians are very good at presenting powerpoint slides of of what they are supposedly working on, but almost none of it will ever see the light of the day. Even if something eventually comes to fruition, it will be years and decades behind schedule.

So, for just this case, at least they do stick to the schedule...
Overall, indeed inching close to a true "enter-service". To be observed how it will project to the future, and fitting into the 3rd decade of 21st century...
