... My position has always been the same. 56.7% supported pan-Dems camp which legitimatized the rioters and gave them the mandate to continue the riots. Since voters knew perfectly well that the pan-Dems camp supported the rioters, then voting for the pan-Dems camp is equal to giving a tacit approval to the rioters or hint that the voters believe the government and police should be blamed for the violent protests not the protesters.
...
This makes me laugh.
For those here don't read Chinese, the gist of it is that this 19 year old student was called rioting last month.
It came to court now, and just like the cases I posted earlier, the thugs are trying everything in the book to get out of jail time. (remember attention disorder, etc.) She is asking the judge to be favorable to her situation as she is going on holiday in the new year! You can't make it up.
The youth is either extremely naive, or like all others thugs, they never thought they would've been caught the first place, which is why they behave like animals, thinking they never going to get caught!
This brings to life the phrase:
If you can't do the time, then don't do the crime!

When Churchill did apply his attention to the subcontinent, it had other dire effects. As the Indian writer Pankaj Mishra explains in , Churchill was one of a coterie of imperial rulers who worked to create sectarian fissures within India's independence movement between Indian Hindus and Muslims, which led to the brutal partition of India when the former colony finally did win its freedom in 1947. Millions died or were displaced in an orgy of bloodshed that still echoes in the region's tense politics to this day. (India, it should be noted, was far from the only corner of the British empire victim to such divide-and-rule tactics.)
This is all unsubstantiated extrapolation on your part as it cannot be proven why how many voters voted the way they did. It is equally unsubstantiated/feasible to extrapolate that a portion of voters, the 20% swing vote or more, were disappointed by the government and police failing to put a stop to the violent rioting and therefore voted for the pan-Dems in the hope of appeasing them to stop the violent rioting.
I would be more concerned with the truly atrocious English in this passage than the content itself...
“The Amnesty International rarely released...” - a truly awful sentence.
Not that anyone argued my point of declining English skills, but there you have it in case there were doubts...
it is perception that matters and gives the rioters the legitimacy to continue the riots.
It is a color revolution but you still think the oppositions just want some candies. And they still have not condemned violence. Not the moderates, not the pan-Dems camp, none of them have condemned violence. They still claim that in order for the violence to stop, the government needs to accept the 5 demands. If this is so called rejecting violence, then you are daydreaming.
The millions who have NOT been showing up in recent protests -- you are saying that the people who are NOT showing up are giving the cockroaches legitimacy to continue their violence? (The election outcome is only one of several factors.)
You're the dreamer -- dreaming about the millions of invisible people at recent protests.
