Hong-Kong Protests

China should introduce new laws to deal with the rioters’ use of child soldiers.

You have a one strike policy.

First time a minor is arrested for rioting, they are released to their parents. The parents need to be made explicitly clear, and sign a document stating that they understand that if they child is so much as caught littering, they will loose custody of all their children and be charged with child endangerment.

If these parents cannot educate their children on things as basic as not rioting, then they cannot be trusted with those children.

Similar laws need to apply to teachers and religious leaders. If children under their care end up involved in rioting, they get put on the same register as sex offenders, are barred from ever working with minors, and cannot to within 500m of a school, playground or other area where young children are likely to congregate.
Why bother with a one time strike? Does terrorists get a one time strike? Screw those rioters, anyone get caught will get a permanent relocation to a labor camp. If the person is underage, the parents also get that free trip. Only way to get reduced sentence is to rat out someone the police don't already have. If the person is in a position of influence such as teacher or religious person, get double the penalty.

Dr Cheung Chi Hang's medical license should be revoked for his part in brutal assault of off-duty police officer.

kind of usual discrepancy in the number of participants announced by organizers and by Police, and so on:
Hong Kong protesters fill Chater Garden and spill onto nearby roads in Central, calling for United States to pass democracy act
  • Rally was first to have secured police go-ahead after anti-mask law took effect on October 5
  • Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act is expected to be put to vote in the US as soon as Wednesday morning

Healthy decrease in numbers and an even healthier division in thoughts and views. The comment section of articles in scmp are turning anti-Dem and more pro-status quo (not necessarily pro-CCP but that's an improvement). The maximum number of people in Charter Garden seems to be around 100K.

This seems to be a pro-rioter map so the figures are pretty accurate. A huge improvement over the course of months.
Their demand was for the Bill to be passed in the Senate. It is to be seen how the Bill will evolve within the premises of the Trade Deal being negotiated.

well I read stories from Global Times to Fox News, now wondering if something got lost in translation perhaps:

Haha I saw that. The Chinese idiom for being completely defeated andor broken is literally translated as crushed (to powder) bodies and broken bones. It is so frequently used that it does not bring any gruesome imagery or connotation for the Chinese. It also does not, in itself, confer malice, spite or anger as one can say, "My poor brother fell from the 10th floor on his construction job and hit the ground with crushed body and shattered bones." Rather, the emphasis of the idiom is on totality, to be totally broken or defeated. Finally, it doesn't have to refer to a person or living object; it can be used to say that a company is totally in shambles or that the idea of separating China will be completely defeated and broken. Obviously, when translated literally in English, it sounds like Xi is really getting really angry and thinking about medieval ways to kill people, but it's actually quite a normal idiom in Chinese.

Hong Kong protests: home-made bomb aimed to kill or maim police officers, force says as it condemns weekend of intensified violence and attacks

Radicals detonated a home-made explosive remotely on Sunday with the intent of killing and maiming police officers, the force revealed yesterday as it condemned the weekend’s escalation of protest violence, during which an officer was also slashed in the neck and two others severely assaulted.

Deploring the “life-threatening, reckless and ruthless” acts of violence unleashed on the city’s officers, the force also described the explosive attack as being “similar to terrorist acts around the world”. No one was injured in the incident.

No outrage on this from western news

Terrorism has always been okay against the Chinese people

It reminds me of the English saying, to 86 something. It is derived from when a gangster orders someone murdered and the body buried 80 miles from civilization and 6 feet under but it can be used colloquially to mean, "forget about it," "totally discard it," or I've heard it commonly used in restaurants in the context of, "We can't serve this terrible meatloaf; 86 it!" If this is not an innocent mistake of Western journalism, then it would be the equivalent of a scenario where the US president says, "Hawaii will always be a part of America; any ideas of separating it are ridiculous and should be 86'd from any UN discussions," and the Chinese media reports that US president declares anyone in support of Hawaiian independence should be murdered and buried 80 miles from civilization and 6 feet under.

You will accuse me of being draconian. But let me tell you this: it would have been better for him to actually meant it as a medieval ways of kill thugs. The West will never respect you, if you beg them with civility. They will only respect you if you have the back bone and balls to punch them in the face.

I will accuse you of what now? No I won't, far from it. Have you read the things I've written here? I think you have me confused with someone else. >99% of the things I'd like to do to them, that I know they deserve, I cannot write here, or anywhere, lest that the devil may acquire it for use as an operating manual. There is no one in the world as draconian and as harsh as I am when it comes to dealing with traitors attacking patriots; to find someone more than me in this regard is as difficult as creating a number greater than infinity. I will have held nothing in the world or out of this world held back on them as too horrible to use. But I have enough respect and trust in the CCP to not insist that my way is better. I have never advocated for China to act in a way to seek respect from the West; the only way that should be achieved is by becoming overwhelmingly more powerful than they are. I couldn't agree more. And gaining their respect shouldn't even be the goal because that would be putting the Western opinion on a pedestal; the goal should be to have to power to act unimpeded throughout the world for the interests of Chinese people with absolute disregard to any opposition. The side-effect will be Western respect, admiration, reverence, and fear of Chinese power.

I truly think you have me confused with someone else.
