I think we might be too naive to think that, don't forget the rioters have outside support all along, both financialy and politicaly.

They are not as leaderless as we are led to believe. Look at the clandestine meeting with the USA consulate general, then the arrangement to travel to Taiwan, Germany and the USA. these things cost money. Hell I have a relatively well paid job, yet I can't afford travel round the world like that. And he is just a student!

And least we forget the NED, they are on records to say their goals are to help and support democracy anywhere in the world. "That us what we do"! It is their reason for existence!

And lastly, even if you discount the "posters". How do you explain the facts real people with real flags singing real USA/UK national athems. And standing outside UK consulate general demanding UK to make them British!

Just another day in Hong Kong. The question must be, where do they get their money from???

Never underestimate their hatred towards China! To those still think we are 5 毛。Don't forget we didn't create this. We just report it.

Most of us can read Chnese, and those members who can't ain't going to be bothered to read this. And if they do, they only going to accuse us of 5 毛。

I don't agree with this, or condone this. But net-citzens have started to be racist by calling out the fact that some of the leaders have their roots in Vietnam which translate into why they are patriots...... only to Vietnam!

Hawaii works, perhaps Guam, Diego Garcia, and other US colonial holdings where there is definitely room for improvement towards "freedom and democracy".

Ultimately the best response is for China to successfully integrate Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Which is why I think is the main/real reason China is holding back on Hong Kong. It has Taiwan (which is more important and of higher strategic value, not to mention historic and cultural value). In mind!

Your assumption takes the rioters and their co-consiprators at their word that they are fighting for "freedom and democracy". Perhaps you are not smart enough to see through their propaganda to their actual goals and plans which have nothing to do with freedom and democracy.

None of these matters. I don't care what these banners say, because people say things like "you all go to hell", "drop dead" all the time; they have no power over you. I said again and again and again, Hong Kongers doesn't matter at all, when it comes to the stability of China. 20 years ago, Hong Kong's well being was vital to the stability and development of China. Today, not any more. Today, these protester/rioters are wasting their time and energy clashing with HK police and HK government, and they are going nowhere.

Don't act like children. Nothing concrete ever indicated that these people "represents Hong Kong", they have no real power what-so-ever. What is power? Organizing a "maidan"-like riot is easy feat in a society like Hong Kong, Ukraine, US, etc. However, riot organizer is only powerful if the established government decides to caving in to their demands, and hand-over power. You guys don't even know what power is. You guys has no idea how powerful a modern government machine is. I can only tell you, that such a government machine can only be defeated from within. In other words, it can only be defeated if it decides to stop exercising their power and hand-over authority to the rioters.

These people are a joke, let them be a clown while they are still in deceit. You guys are juvenile, easily provoked and inexperienced. You need to have the mentality of real statesmen. You guys get upset by the most trivial matter. Had Mao Zedong and the other early leader be as emotional fragile and unstable as you guys are, they would have been annihilated by fear alone.

I am sick and tired of fools like that guy who swing cheap shots like "you are not smart enough to see through......" when he doesn't even know what the hell I am talking about. It's not just the fact that that person throws cheap shots, but he/she throw that cheap shot and totally misses. And I am not even his opponent. This is some other level of stupid, that isn't even funny. In fact, it is infuriatingly upsetting to know some f****r who is supposed to be on my team is this incompetent and emotionally unstable.

, you see how often are these bills get far enough to be put into laws. From this year alone it's less than 1%. Not a surprise that most of the time politicians do what politicians do, mere virtue signal without getting it done. They are probably busy with the new president's impeachment anyway, so this HK bill would most likely face the same fate like all those 7500 dead bills introduced in this year alone.
