China on Monday urged the United States to properly handle Taiwan-related issues to avoid damaging China-U.S. relations and peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang made the remarks at a news briefing when responding to media reports saying the United States sent two warships through the Taiwan Strait on Sunday.

"China has closely followed the passing of U.S. warships through the Taiwan Strait and monitored the whole process," said Geng, adding that China had lodged stern representations with the U.S. side.

"We urge the U.S. to observe the one-China principle and the stipulations of the three China-U.S. joint communiques and properly handle Taiwan-related issues so as to avoid undermining China-U.S. relations and peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait," Geng said.

Posted by LKJ86 at the PDF. This appears to be rehearsal with Liaoning leading the formation. I believe 101 Nanchang is among those in the formation, along with a Type 901.

Extremely layman guess. Boat appears to be a small sized ferry, likely 20-30m long.

Submarine is approx 50-90m long.
