Some Vietnamese fishermen hauled in a Chinese torpedo. Does anyone know the designation?

Yu-6 variant?
Should be, it is the only Chinese torp that is officially confirmed to be in widespread use that is of that caliber. My best guess is that this is a dummy version that had floated off course during a past training exercise. Finds like these are often very valuable intel mines. Given that torpedoes are among the hardest munitions to be recovered.

Was it really washed shore or was it retrieved by Vietnamese fishermen from the sea (judging from the ropes and stuff seen on the tail)?

Yu-6 variant?

People are guessing it's either a Yu-6 or a newer Yu-10 (color scheme similar to the one shown in the pic below - which is believed to be the new Yu-10 - but I'm personally not sure).

According to the original information, on December 18, fishermen Tran Minh Thanh (40 years old, An Hai commune) to practice trawling discovered this strange object about four nautical miles from the coast.

Mr Thanh dragged the object into the roof of the house, tied back, then reported to the authorities.

On the morning of 19-12, military forces, border guard, police and fishermen took the object to the coast, waiting for the agency to handle.

As in, the thing is faked by the Vietnmaese? I don't think so. Video seems informative but too bad I can't understand anything except possible mentioning of "China".

接通 at the top means "Connect" and 断开 below means "disconnect". Worth noting these are 简体中文 characters

Were you asking also for yourself? Under the tweet people are giving all kinds of answers but they converge to resemble "On" and "Off".

I'm still eager to hear what model this is. Would be a pretty big screw-up if it is indeed the Yu-10 as rumored (though increasingly unlikely).
