Finally new variant landing on a warship

Hopefully they can quickly build many of these and replace all the old nose cone units

Love to see 4 x Z8C on Type 071 LPD

It's that the recently debuted Z-8CJ, the new dedicated training variant?

Is it landing on a type 056 in the second picture?
Type 056 helideck is much smaller than this one, with a different pattern and have Heligrid anchoring grid at the centre of the circle.

You're looking at ships with larger helideck bigger than Type 056 but without Heligrid anchoring grid...consider almost all their newer ships have such as standard, that list should be a short one...

I used Super Frelon for comparison, and the helicopter from the image seems to have 20 to 25% wider main body. So 2,68 m to 2,8 meters wide. Total width with sponsons seems to be around 4,9 meters. But they're also quite long, at little over 5 meters long. Overall volume of those things could easily be over 5 cubic meters each. While only part of that volume is likely to be fuel, we're still talking about a significant fuel increase. I wouldn't be surprised if this variant could lug around 8+ tons of fuel and still have ample space inside for cargo. Which begs the question of engines. Just what sort of engines would such a bigger fuselage, more fuel, probably more cargo require? Are we looking at some new, noticeably more powerful engines being installed? Are we looking at MTOW approaching 20 tons? Going over 15 tons is pretty much guaranteed, with all the extra volume.
