I can see the Chinese will send 052C/D and 093B to Mediterranean along French coast ... not too close but close enough to annoy French... with the same context of FON
Far more effective to just hit them in their pockets, since that’s what this stunt was all about in the first place - France trying to cosy up to India to try and win more arms deals.

There is no need for sword rattling. The French knows who spends the most for their products and where their tourists come from. If france actually threaten china's interests, then expect to see a flood of bootlegged Hermes and LVs again, and put France in the same category as South Korea and see how they will hurt. Right now, its all just show to make some sales.

You mean China will run out of countries, where they can travel? How does that work exactly? When China boycotts one country, all the other countries will band together and kick Chinese tourists out too? All because China has boycotted a country?
You don't think those other countries won't rush in and fill the void? Most likely, those other countries will be more than happy to welcome more Chinese tourists. And those countries will be overjoyed if millions and millions of Chinese decide to choose them over France for their next vacation.
Keep in mind that, in tourism, the tourists are the buyers and the home countries are the sellers with their tourist sites as products to sell. That means these countries compete with each other for buyers. You don't think those other countries would be happy if one of their stronger competitors is gone?
