US to provide Afghanistan with up to 159 Black Hawks to help break 'stalemate'
MD Helicopters to support MD 530F Cayuse Warrior in Afghanistan

I am quite skeptical on the supply of above toys to Afghan dummy regime's unstable armed forces (except only where coalition forces are based) ...

It's IMO a repeating of same mistake from US which was done in 80s & 90s.... there is a huge possibility that these toys will end up in wrong hands.

Therefore, all stakeholders (US/NATO/China/Russia/Pakistan) should bring all factions (Taliban/Warlords) on table to stabilize Afghanistan. Same I highlighted in earlier post # 37...

Timepass The Blackhawk helicopter is not a system that anyone can operate from their garage.
When ISIS seized a supply of them in Iraq they left them alone as they realized they lacked pilots and mechanics to operate them. The Government of Afghanistan has those mostly by the Grace of the US.
You need an industrial infrastructure to operate such aircraft, look at the Chinese and Iranians they built the infrastructure even the North Koreans but The Taliban would never create that if they had there way the country would revert to the state it was before 2000 with one major exception These are not the Taliban who deemed the Opium Trade an Evil. These modern Taliban use the Trade to feed themselves.

Been tried before in Vietnam, and the results were invasion by the North of the South.
In the Afghan conflict It would most likely result in the collapse of any form of Nation state. The Taliban, Warlords, Aq and IS would then start fighting for power causing the return to the Post apocalyptic state, Increase in Narcotics trade to make money, reinstitution of Repression of the Female population, and expansion of Terrorist and Paramilitary training camps.
Portions of the Taliban and AQ would be allied but other Taliban would side with IS. you would father have independent warlords fighting holding on to there bastion states. basically The Syrian war 2.0.

Do you think that this Afghan govt can sustain without coalition forces, even they can't operate in suburbs of Kabul without coalition forces...let alone these toys.

So the notion of my concern is what US will achieve handing such toys to ineffective/incompetent Afghan Govt.... rather there is every chance these toys will haunt later to US...

Never happen. The Taliban, AQ andIS would never allow it.
There Ideology is that the modern world is wrong, IS and AQ are both Apocalyptic cults, the modern Taliban are basically FARC with islamist ideology. They would move the nation back to a failed state if they had there way.

Here it is imperative to understand the Afghan culture/Social circle prior to come to the conclusion. Cant implement someone's school thought on these people, if Global powers to sort out Afghan issue...

Or otherwise let the coalition forces stay forever & just let dummy govt work only in Kabul....

An elite Taliban unit conducts a patrol in a screenshot from a Taliban propaganda video uploaded to the group's offical website Aug. 30. The Taliban fighters are wearing uniforms and apparel that most resembles western militaries.

WASHINGTON — A recent Taliban propaganda video uploaded to the group’s official media site appears to show Taliban fighters mimicking the style and tactics of American commandos.

The video, titled “Caravan of Heroes 13,” was posted to the group’s propaganda outlet called Voice of Jihad on Thursday.

The 70-minute-plus video covers various Taliban tactics from assaults and ambushes, to emplacing roadside bombs.

In one photo, several Taliban fighters appear to be conducting a patrol. One of the fighters is carrying a tactical medical bag, surgical scissors, tactical apparel and helmet. Some of the fighters have drop holsters.

Furthermore, the tactical camouflage uniforms feature bloused trousers, brown boots and even unit patches on the sleeves, similar to today’s Western military and Afghan special forces units.

The video is designed to appeal to two audiences — potential Western recruits and local Afghans and Pakistanis, according to Roggio.

It was produced in English and Pashtu by Manba al Jihad Studio — a media arm of the Haqqani network, Roggio said. The Haqqanis are an internationally designated terrorist group with close ties to the Taliban and al-Qaida.

“The Haqqanis have made open calls for foreign recruits to join the ranks,” Roggio said.

The video provides an interesting look into the inner workings of the Taliban and its propaganda efforts. In previous videos, the Taliban has attempted to mimic Islamic State propaganda by filming attacks with commercially available quadcopter drones. But this video seems to take things to a whole new level.

“I have not seen the Islamic State issue propaganda like this,” said Roggio. “The Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan has issued videos similar to this, but not to the degree we’ve seen in ‘Caravan of Heroes 13,’ ” he said.

This is of course the Cost of buying off the Shelf. Although from the Images in the Military times report They appear to be wearing Black and Chinese PLA patterns. I would lay odds on a good chunk being simply replicas and Paintballer Grade or captured or bought from Afghan forces

Attached to the same video was footage of an actual Ambush by the Taliban Who were not wearing western gear, they were wearing local garb with some fighting gear and seemed to be more hosing down moving Tanker trucks with bullets as they pass on a Road.

It's amusing how the video appears right after Trump announced his strategy for Afghanistan. What people fail to realize is that there is a creeping presence of these demonic ISIS fighters entering Afghanistan. The Pukhtuns (which make 99% of what is usually referred to as Taliban) have always been traditional Afghans. There fighting tactics, their style and appearance has been what is quintessentially Pukhtun. And as a Pukhtun myself, who has his roots in Afghanistan, I can tell you with utter certainty, that this video, the people in it and their propaganda media center, are NOT indigenous, authentic Pukhtun-Afghans. The video is an attempt by ISIS to lure and recruit Pukhtuns. And what ISIS fails to realize is that Pukhtuns hold their allegiances to NO ONE, except their own. Also, what most observers around the world fail miserably to recognize, is that ISIS is fundamentally a Wahhabi-Salafi bound group. The Wahhabi-Salafi ideology is NOT authentic Islam. Their level of their barbarity has been witnessed by the world in Libya, Iraq, Syria and Yemen. Wahhabi-Salafi sect is powerful and rich because it's supporters/controllers are Saudi/Qatari/Emirati/Kuwaiti/Bahraini elites who are both in government positions as well as private sector in those countries.

ISIS is looking to establish presence in Afghanistan as it's getting hammered in Iraq and Syria. And although it's good news for the two war torn countries. It isn't good news for Afghanistan, as there stands an relatively distant truce between ISIS and Taliban. What ISIS will soon find to its misfortune, is that Pukhtuns will kill them as well. What Pukhtuns have zero tolerance for (post 9/11) is foreigners in their lands. And now, ever since learning their lesson of OBL's true motives of seeking sanctuary in Afghanistan. Even if you are claiming to be Muslim, if you are a foreigner and want to fight America in Afghanistan. Pukhtuns will come and annihilate you. For the only ones who are parading around the world, claiming to be Muslims and fighting for Islam. Are the cancerous Wahhabi-Salafi ideologically driven ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Boko-Haram, Al-Shabab, Nusra-Front & other dogs like them.
