Too bad the shelters are covering up literally the most interesting parts of the ship.

Which is probably why they are covered up in the first place.

Right now a thread essentialy about construction... in a Combattant what is the more expensive sensors, propulsion, hull, armament etc... VLS are ?
Possible have % by category approx in general for have an idea.

Maybe covering propulsion shafts?

I think aft and fore VLS cells can still be partially or fully measured, if covers stay the same till launch.

doesn't really matter whether they move or stay if PLAN wants to hide because the covers are mobile and the time of imagery satellite overhead is known.

The level of the covers/roofs seems too low to cover any of the topside superstructures once they begin assembly.

I imagine they will either be removed or increase in height with additional scaffolding once assembly of the rest of the topside structures occurs.

New photos of what appears to be an inspection officer; OP claims he is standing on the foredeck of the first Type 055. Parts of the second Type 055 can be seen in the second picture.

That light-house-like thingy confirms it is the first 055. We have seen that object from the distance shots as well.

Anyway, where the heck is OPSEC? Those people's faces should be blurred.

opsec for the people's faces probably isn't that important; I'd expect foreign intelligence services to already be well aware of their identities if they really are that important.
