Turkey is building a large, modern Navy...across the board.

They have said upfront that their LHD (based on the Juan Carlos from Spain) will be built to carry the F-35B, AND that they are going to build a full on carrier (probably STOBAR) for their JSF too.

it's reminded me about something I wanted to look at but forgot about, which is Turkey Military budget ... seeing your F-35Bs, Jeff, my usual: is it affordable? LOL! ...
it's #14 in the 2015 World, with about $18b

Well, its still larger than the Spanish budget, so it seems fairly reasonable nonetheless, long as nobody gets any crazy ideas during the design phase.
