Actually its true, you seldom speak before a careful analysis of all the facts, and more often than not that leads you to the truth, your good manners and good judgement, and general affability allow you to carefully analyze the information, and formulate a hypothesis!

I'm a Christian, and I love good science! good science is not to be manipulated, nor does it need "manicured"! Nature speaks the truth, she cannot lie!

I find in you vesicles that "curiousity", or maybe a "thirst" for truth, that I find most admirable, as well you listen to others and "hear" what they are saying, also admirable.

Thanks so much for the nice words, my man! I'm blushing!

Most of the time, I'm just trying my best not to embarrass myself. I have learned so much here at the SDF. Like my last post about comparing the J-20 with the J-31. I was trying to remember all the different info, all of which I learned here, while I was writing the post. I took the list of all of J-20 prototypes straight from Jeff's earlier post (#2330). I was quite proud of myself for being able to discuss such complex topic. And I was so excited to see that you guys liked my post!:p:oops:

We did like the post, but most of all, we like you as a friend and komrade in arms here on the SDF, and like many of us, you strive for accuracy with each post, as such you build our collective credibility.

It is all summed up in your statement, "I have learned so much here at the SDF", you have proven yourself a disciple of the truth, and you have a great deal to add here.

to that I would only add my hardy "Amen" to learning here, and when I have messed up, you guys have been kind and generous enough to correct me graciously and with kindness, no doubt we have the most generous military forum on the planet!

Why did they design this thing with the capacity to hold only 4 BVRAAMs? This is a significant disadvantage against the F-22. Even the F-35 can carry 6 AIM-120s.

The number of 4-BVRAAMs were from the initial prototype (more like "Demonstrator") 2002 -

2011 onwards the J-20 went through many structural changes. One speculation was that the weapons is slightly wider. We have not seen any A/C 2011 onwards with loaded weapons bays. It is possible the they can carry more than 4 internally. Don't forget the J-20 bays are not as deep as the PAK-FA but might be deeper than the F-22 allowing it to carry wider variety of A/G munitions. One issue with the F-22 compared to the F-35 is that it internally cannot carry LGB, ASM, and those large 2000 lbs bombs. Ironically the YF-23 had one of the deepest weapons bays. Deeper than the PAK-FA I believe.
