Hello Everybody

I'm Arnaud, 46 from France. I've been following the forum scince many years, mostly for professional interest. It has always been the most serious of all furums i've been visiting.
I remember with pleasing memories the old SD site the forum was attached to. It's a pity it is no longer updated.
I'm working with the military branch (French Army) and for me the chinese military developpements are one of the most intresting game changers of next years/decenies strategic affairs.
Sorry for my English, as I'm not a native speaker.

Hi guys, I'm Bruce, a '50 something' from the UK with a long time interest i n military and current affairs. I have long been a member and watcher of this forum, and hold it and it's contributors in high regard. my interest will probably mean that I retain a 'watching brief' as I'm not sure that I can contribute a great deal to the wealth of knowledge already displayed.

Well, Bruce, you have been aboard since 2011...so I would normally say "welcome aboard," but you are long since here.

However, thanks for posting. We have ample places where you can contribute...topics you find interesting, historical forum, Member Club Room, movie threads, every day life, photos, etc. Feel free...we look forward to you doing so.

The best of the New Year to you and yours...God's speed.

Till i joined the navy i drawed a lot of drawings for shipbucket like Gollevainen under the name Mitchell300.
Also did some cale modelling.
Hopefully i can do this again when i finish my house and create an hobby room.
