Welcome Gentlemen, to the Sino Defense Forum, I finally have a day off so cruising the forum a bit, looking forward to hearing from each of you, and these are indeed very interesting days. kf6bka would be interested in your USAF service, my Dad was an IP in the C-130, so I am a standard issue -1 USAF BRAT, first generation BRAT, also a gen aviation Sport Pilot, flying a 1946 Ercoupe, and yes it is 10 years older than I am.Maybe. it's a bit too late.
I am Chinese Indonesian (Born and Growth in Jakarta City)
My Father is from Guangzhou, China and Until age 40s still hold PRC Citizenship.
and My mother is from Kaoshiung, Taiwan.
But, I cannot speak Chinese Language, and just can speak Indonesian.
Because My Father (Cantonese Dialect) and my mother (Hokkien Dialect) have different languange, and use Indonesian Language to communicate in home.
I am Majoring in International Relations studies, especially in Political-Economic-Social and Cultural Issue in East Asia, and South East Asia Countries.
And I am really Interesting in Chinese Military Development and Updates.

Welcome aboard Navigator, I am the Air Force Brat, very interested that you are in aircraft maintenance, as I worked on the "night shift" at Klem's Aero Repair, a Gen Aviation shop as a 3rd or 4th job many moons ago. I recently helped the friend who bought our old 172 return it, and him to flight status and have enjoyed flying our old bird.
I fly a 1946 Erco Ercoupe 415C which is "light sport" qualified here in the US.
