Nice list Deino

How does his tally with the total Regiments for PLAAF and PLAN

Do batches match Regiment numbers ?

8 x PLAAF and 2 x PLANAF regiments

Ok PLAAF regiments with J10A/S with 43, 1,2,3, 24,9, 15 and 72

PLANAF yes just 12th regiment 4th division

My own calculations would say around 250 units

Add to that August 1st demo team
FTTC aggressor squadron
Does Chendgu have some units?

Add another 30 units to give 280 or so

Not far off the 300 tally

Sorry, but there are few errors included ... seems as if You are mixing regiments and divisions:
1 AR is a J-11B unit (1. Div)
3 AR uses J-8F (1. Div)
9 AR has Su-30MKK (3. Div)
15 AR has JH-7A (5. Div)
24 AR has H-6K (8. Div)
43 & 72 AR is correct

All I have:
PLAAF-regiments are the 2, 5, 8, 26, 34, 43, 72 and 131 + Ba Yi
PLAAF-brigades are the 124, 170 (FTTC)
PLANAF-regiment is the 12
---------------------------------------
As such thru a rough estimation these are 11 operational regiments or brigades with 28 aircraft each = 308 aircraft.

The FTTC and Ba Yi have smaller numbers - maybe only 8 (FTTC) - 12 (Ba Yi) - so these would be 20 .... all without the recent und still unconfirmed J-10B units (said to be three already, however the 5 AR replaced its A with B-models but I don't know, who gained their old A ?)

.... so about 308 + 20 = 328 early model J-10A/AS operational !

Compared to my estimated production run of 232 J-10A + 90 J-10AS = 322 aircraft I would say it fits nicely.

BY the way - and maybe fitting for reports about several regiment (within the 1. and 2. Div) changing their J-10A for B and giving them to other units (like the 18. and 21. Div) - here is a J-10AS spotted over Yanji / Yanbian ... at Yanji the 21. Division, 61. AR is based ! Maybe they gained J-10s ?

OK, now I am 100% sure the CAC leakers are deliberately trolling Deino :p. Otherwise why would they out a blurry WS-10 powered J-10B screencap with an unclear serial and at the same time release clear photos of the same group with all but the 1st digit ('7xxxx') PSed off.......:eek::eek:

And it is the same group of guys which are making '2102' and '2103' parts, post them all over the net and laughing about our - and esp. mine - impatience !

B Yi = August first, the PLAAF aerial demonstration team with J-10AY and SY.
