Fantastic achievement, they are moving at an unequalled breakneck speed. They went from flying the first demonstrator to revising and flying the design in production configuration to first production machine in just 5 years. Hope to see 2101 in all it's glory soon!

Only thing that is missing (for me at least) is similar pics of FC-31 v.2!

it appears to have factory primer applied over the whole thing, meaning we can't tell how much of it is actually made of composites underneath (we were able to partially tell for the first pictures of J-11D, initially when we had photos of it in flight, as well as for initial pictures of the first J-10B prototype)

Still, good to see clear photos. I'm surprised the Air Force is letting these out tbh.

Here's one last Christmas wish for you Bubba, I hope you get your zinc-chromate girl, you and I may be the two zinc-chromates on the forum, but I loved those J-15s in zinc, so I too would like to see the J-20 in bright yellow.

Lights out here in the USA, let er Rip Webby!

I would say that is the likely scenario, so 2101 is the first LRIP bird, very kool to see it in yellow zinc chromate, and that is very likely the base coat for the RAM coating to follow?

But what's the current consensus: 2018 does not exist and 2019 became 2101 ?? ... or are there indeed three seperate birds ?
I think only 2101 exists because of the rumors a while back from fairly reliable sources that 2017 was going to be the last prototype and it feels a bit odd that an LRIP bird would fly before another prototype does, if it even exists, but that's just my own opinion. Also, from the looks of it, 2101 has that dark strip around its nose just like on 2013 and 2015.
