24 Type 054A would be a good number or say 22 with two Type 054, all complete by 2015

After building the "critical mass" for the navy both yards can switch to start building the amphibious capability of the navy, HD launched one Type 071 each year in 2010 and 2011 so they can certainly add many LPDs post 2015, let's say they build 6 more LPD and 3 LHD from the period 2015-2020, each amphibious flotilla consisting of 3 LPDs and 1 LHD for each of the 3 fleets

This would mean pretty much since 2006 to 2020 HD and HP would have worked about 15 years building Type 054A FFG, Type 056, coast guard, Type 903 Replenishment tankers, Type 071 and Type 081 LHD

JN keeps up the DDG construction before switching to cruisers or even carriers, either way I think Chinese shipyards will cease construction of "small ticket" items by 2015 and switch to larger combatants, from 2005-2015 would be the years when China added to the backbone the critical mass of the navy, post 2015 we start to see the "big ticket" items , 10,000 ton cruisers, 20,000+ton LPD, 40,000+ton LHD and carriers built on the experience of corvettes, FFG and DDG

HP doesn’t have the capacity to handle 20,000 tons LPDs or any think bigger than that.

IMO, HP will focus on different displacement (500tons – 4500tons) of cutters for CMS/CG, if no further FFGs.

Coast Guard orders will probably not keep Huangpu occupied for long.

The yard has so far launched eight of ten 1,000-ton ships. When these are finished, and that will be before the end of the year, they will proceed to build five 3,000-tons (based on Hai Jian 50, now Hai Jing 2350) and four 4,500-ton ships, based on the Hai Jiu salvage tugs they are also building. Let us say that will keep them busy until 2016, by which time they will probably be close finishing their 056’s.

9 from HD and 8 from HP so far thats launches

This year I expect maybe 2 more launches one from each yard, making total 19 launches and again I believe there is further modules for units 20

And by the end of this year we will likely see around 16-18 Type 056 launches in total too, and one more Type 052D launch

Man that is one good bunch of launches there, corvettes, frigates and destroyers, the PLAN numbers just keeping rising and rising fast with very capable warships

If they can keep launching say 8 corvettes, 3 FFG and 2 DDG each year in a very short time span PLAN capabilitys will have increased many fold
