No big (visible) structural modifications means that the original design is fine as expected ( recently it's said that the PAK FA has some structural problems - by Sukhoi CEO himself?), thus good news IMO.

It that reasonable to assume that J-20's avionics are a league ahead of the best of Rafale?

Speeder did you have a link to the Pak Fa probs, seemed from what I did find, it was rear center fuse, and vert stabs?

Sorry don't have it at the moment...was about a month ago from remarks of Sukhoi CEO to a megazine with no details just saying having some structural probs, quite serious though ...google his name and relevent keywords see what turns up, else Martian from China Defence seems have the article. Good luck.

I think it's just on of the high speed taxi tests, coming to an end. If it were a landing, we would have seen neww all over the Chinese forums.

So far we've always seen the high speed taxi test from the right to the left of the runway. The picture could have been flipped over though, and it's probably so.

It's not a flipped-over picture, judging by how the front wheel's door opens. So the aircraft actually was running an unsusual direction.
