Germany re-arms: what does it mean for Europe?
With German military spending reaching well above triple digits in the coming years, other European countries are worried (France) that their military industries will be outcompeted by German rivals with large orders from Berlin. This is compounded by the German preference for military equipment (probably to stave off deindustrialization) rather than "European" solutions. The article looks at it from an economic perspective whilst ignoring the consequences of German military hegemony over Western Europe, of which have resulted in no consequences for anyone. Though given the state of the German military, I wouldn't be too worried.
