how many time it take to recharge? I see that Denza Z9GT 2026 takes 5 min to charge and runs 1300 km.
They took more time to rest and eat. They rested three times during the entire trip.

6:23: Departed from Xiaomi Auto Factory in Beijing

9:51-10:03: 12-minute break (Binzhou Service Area)

12:53-14:15: Charging + lunch + rest, total 82 minutes (Linyi Service Area)

17:22-17:40: 18-minute break (Dongtai Service Area)

21:40: Arrived at Shanghai 5G Future Center

Xiaomi's Chairman Lei Jun livestreamd a long-range endurance test of the new Xiaomi SU7 Pro from Beijing to Shanghai on 17th of April. The entire journey took 15 hours, covering 1313 kilometers, requiring only one charge along the way, with 3% battery remaining at the end. This means that under real-world highway conditions, with three people in the car, the range is approximately 650 kilometers.

I don't get it, why is it not as impressive as claimed? Their claim is that the car can drive from Beijing to Shanghai with one recharge along the way, and they did, in fact, only charge once? Did you interpret it as going from Beijing to Shanghai on one full charge? It's pretty intuitive in Chinese although it is not the most precise wording.

Xiaomi's highway test effectively demonstrated the company's remarkable battery efficiency technology. During the test, the vehicle maintained the speed limit throughout the entire journey while running the air conditioning continuously, achieving an average energy consumption of just 14.6 kWh per 100 kilometers. Considering this is a 5-meter-long luxury sedan, this is an outstanding achievement—one that very few companies in the world can match.

According to the range test conducted by Bilibili’s “疯膜哥,” the BYD Han EV consumes 18.3 kWh per 100 kilometers on the highway without the air conditioning running.

When it comes to charging, BYD’s Flash Charge is the only one of its kind in the world; neither Tesla nor CATL can match it. Therefore, the focus of this experiment is not on charging speed, but on battery energy consumption.

Please consider attitude, wind direction and speed, and ambient temperature. For Xiaomi, they need a third-party, independent; they have too much drama about marketing, and wait for 疯膜哥 for testing. CATL may unveil something interesting on 21st April.

This Xiaomi car has already been tested by many independent media outlets. Of course, you’re free to believe that Xiaomi has bribed all of them—we can wait for more third-party reviews. Another point is that, due to Xiaomi’s recent focus on live-stream marketing, there has been a surge in paid online trolls on the Chinese internet over the past year or so, specifically aimed at smearing Xiaomi. Their tactics include: deliberately stoking brand rivalry; slandering Xiaomi as lacking technical expertise; accusing Xiaomi of being a U.S. spy company; claiming the brakes are prone to failure; alleging that safety features are fraudulent; and labeling owners as "social miscreants" who bought the car on credit. Under the pressure of this online harassment, Xiaomi has been compelled to speak out in defense of its product.

Why are there so many trolls in China so obsessed with trashing their own national champions? The self sabotage is actually wild lol

疯膜哥 commented on Xiaomi's test on Bilibili.

Translation:

Lei Jun is here! 疯膜哥's Beijing-Shanghai Electric Vehicle Tour faces the toughest media challenge of his career! #XiaomiAuto#

After driving 630 kilometers, the battery still had 3% remaining, with an energy consumption of 15.3 kWh per 100 kilometers. That's incredibly impressive!

The average speed was approximately 105 km/h, slightly lower than the 115 km/h figure from the Beijing-Shanghai electric vehicle data report, but this average speed is still quite high.

Now I'm a little worried about the range performance of BYD vehicles. [crying emoji]
