You really manage to ignore the whole point of a discussion don't you.

I generally agree with your points.

But if you're referring to the "highest yield domains of ground warfare" - wouldn't FPV drones be amongst the highest, if not the highest?

FPV drones are so new that we have yet to know what they would look like implemented in a peer ground warfare scenario (e.g.: the impact of competent EW, and long range fires in degrading their performance), so no they would not be.

At best they are a "as of yet unknown factor/quantity".

Furthermore, even if you wanted to suggest that FPV drones were a "high yield domain of ground warfare," that is irrelevant to my prior post because the point was not to have an exhaustive list of "what are all of the high yield domains of ground warfare" but rather "infantry and infantry equipment are a relatively low domain of ground warfare".

Old and Interesting questions

Since the Type 81 family of rifles was equipped with a standard sight from the initial design stage, and the SAW version even had its own unique sight with bigger FOV (really rare to find even pics)

Production continued intermittently until at least late 2000 (as shown in the images).

They never issued to all the soldiers.

Ask Canadian they may even knows more

My conclusion is that the Army(PLAGF) has at least consistently sought more funding in the past, but the results have clearly failed.

Now the question is the budget still an issue?

Or it's competition between state-owned suppliers and private companies? (From shoes to vests)

That is what i mean old and Interesting questions

Zentinal Holographic Sight,Manufactured using the same technical specifications as the QMQ171 holographic sight used by the Chinese military. It can be regarded as the civilian version of the QMQ171 holographic sight.
Hmm I did see this on Chinese social media and was curious about purchasing it. Didn't realize it was related to the QMQ-171. I think I was told a pricepoint of 400 USD or so, which is pretty damn reasonable for a holographic.

Holographic sights are a lot more complex than red dots. So it’s actually way cheaper than it usually is.

Also, it has no relations with the QMQ 171. It is entirely designed and tested in the US, specifically Washington state. It's only manufactured in China.
