what unit are these guys? loadout seems to be better than regular PLA infantry but what they are practicing seems to be regular infantry stuff.
This isn't special at all. This is literally a normal kit that one would find among the professional troops in Ukraine and Russia. Kudos to the commander who allowed their NCO's to take charge of personalizing their kit to fight to win battles, not to satisfy a garrison officer who only cares about looks.

Nice hopefully they are improving fast and this isn't just a one off still needs grips and sights looks like they are carrying 8 or 9 mags with 8 grenades

Are they finally getting groin and bowel protection as a result of lessons learned from Ukraine? From all the extremely graphic Ukraine FPV attack videos I saw, FPV drones tend to strike their targets in the groin, lower abdomens, buttock, and legs since the targets are usually in a prone or duck and cover position when being hit. The result on the target is literally castration plus seppuku, whilst it takes another hour or more for the target to die if arteries aren’t severed.

If infantry warfare from now on is drones striking groin and axxholes with the end game being genital and bowel mutilation whilst still alive, the future for infantrymen is just dark. A groin plate plus anti-FPV countermeasures is the least each infantry could be provided with to alleviate the likely unavoidable suffering and sadism.

And people thought power armor is impractical…

actually, if someone is struck in the groin area castration would be the least of their worries. they would surely die of blood loss due to severed artery.

Although I suspect most would prefer to die at that point than to survive.
