Cockpit of the T-50-9 as Su-57E demo aircraft

I am sure this has been covered before, but why not use a side stick set-up on the Su-57? My understanding was that side stick HOTAS has advantages over the more traditional centre stick design. The centre stick seems to obscure a portion of the display permanently, though I imagine it probably isn't that bad in practice

George account commented on it and said from his perspective it didn't really intrude when he sat in the cockpit, not sure about the reason for not using sidesticks, though.

He also just posted some snippets of a UAC video with details regards the side bays and the 101KS-O
