The first footage of the new Russian UMPK systems equipped with jet engines has been released. The video, released by bomb disposal experts, shows a Russian FAB-500T aerial bomb equipped with a UMPK module, presumably powered by a Chinese Swiwin SW800Pro jet engine. Using the UMPK with a jet engine allows Su-34 aircraft to fire FAB-500 bombs at a range of over 100 km. Previously, Ukrainian media reported that the range of Russian bombs with the new UMPK modules could approach 200 km.

Does the "Powered JDAMski" really refer to this thing ? Like where were the inlet structure ? For me it's just one variant of UMPK, except now they ground down the entire tail section of the FAB and attach the kit.

a TG channel refer the UMPB instead.

Completion of the second prototype of the Yak-130M aircraft✅

Specialists from the Yakovlev company have manufactured the second prototype of the Yak-130M training and combat aircraft as part of experimental design work. The aircraft is painted in the traditional pixel camouflage used in Russian aviation. Subsequently, the aircraft will join ground and flight tests. Meanwhile, assembly of the third unit is underway.

Recently, the first prototype of the aircraft was built at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, intended for ground and flight tests.

“The Yak-130M was developed based on the analysis and generalization of aviation experience in local and regional conflicts. The creation of light combat aircraft based on training-combat machines aligns with global trends in the development of military aviation,” noted Dmitry Popov, Deputy Chief Designer for the Yak-130 program. Dmitry Popov.

The Yak-130M is being created on the basis of the Yak-130, whose characteristics allow for training pilots of fourth and fifth generation fighters. The main goal of the ongoing modernization is to expand the combat capabilities of the aircraft. The updated aircraft will be able to be armed with air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles.

The integration of new onboard systems will allow the Yak-130M to be used for training and combat purposes around the clock and in difficult weather conditions. For example, the aircraft has been equipped with the BRLS-130R onboard radar station, the SOLT-130K optical-laser thermal television system, the President-S130 onboard defense complex, and the KSS-130 communication system.

The second prototype of the Russian Yak-130M combat-trainer aircraft has been built at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. The aircraft has already been painted in a pixelated camouflage pattern. The aircraft will subsequently participate in ground and flight testing. A third aircraft is being assembled in parallel. The Yak-130M was developed based on an analysis and consolidation of aviation experience in local and regional conflicts. The development of light combat aircraft based on combat-trainer aircraft is in line with global trends in military aviation development. The Yak-130M is based on the Yak-130, whose characteristics allow it to train pilots of fourth- and fifth-generation fighters. The primary goal of the ongoing modernization is to expand the aircraft's combat capabilities.

Didn't know that Yak-130 has an APU, I missed it before. It's not a big aircraft to have one. We see the intake on left side and exhaust on right side before the tail. BAe Hawk have one too. Lot of weight carried in these little airframes.

Ukrainian media have published data on the cost of Russian missiles and their deliveries to the military between 2024 and 2027. The reliability of this data is unknown. According to this data, the price of a 9M728 Iskander-K missile ranges from 135 to 142 million rubles per unit (price between 1.65 million and 1.75 million US dollars). The cost of Russian 9M723 Iskander-M ballistic missiles ranges from 189 to 238 million rubles (price between 2.3 million and 2.9 million US dollars). Iskander-M missiles are equipped with four types of warheads: cluster warheads and three types of high-explosive fragmentation warheads.

The troops will also receive 9M723-2 Iskander-M missiles, possibly Iskander-M missiles with a range of 500-1,000 kilometers, unofficially known as the Iskander-1000. The Iskander-1000 missiles cost 221 million rubles (US$2.7 million). Modernized 9M729 Iskander-M missiles, which have a range of over 2,000 km, have also been ordered. They require an Iskander-M1 launcher for launch; these missiles cost 146 million rubles (US$1.8 million).

Documents indicate that the price of 3M14 Kalibr missiles ranges from 168 to 190 million rubles (US$2.0 million to 2.3 million). The price of the Kh-101 cruise missile, known as "Product 504AP," ranges from 171 to 194 million rubles (price from $2.1 million to $2.4 million).

The price of the Russian Kinzhal hypersonic missile is 366 million rubles (price $4.5 million). The price of the Zircon hypersonic missile is 420 to 450 million rubles (price from $5.1 million to $5.5 million). The price of the "Product 506" long-range cruise missile, known as the Kh-BD, is 377 million rubles (price $4.6 million). It's worth noting that the price of the missiles could decrease with increased production.

Russian missile prices according to Forbes magazine

Onyx missile – $1.25 million
Kh-22 missile – $1 million
Kh-55 missile – $2 million
Kh-555 missile – $4 million
Tochka-U missile – $0.3 million

Ukraine says this powered glide bomb has 200km range. and it can have 300 to 400km range according to Russian. bigger warhead, lesser price than Geran drone. This Drone warfare is very manpower intensive, slow and you still need this powerful sensors of fighter for real time targets.

Russia develops a new type of hovering bomb with jet engines and a long range.

The result is an effective and low-cost alternative to the Guerin drone, with a maximum range of about 200 kilometers (according to Ukrainian media estimates).

Due to its small size and high speed, the "jet bomb" presents a difficult target for Ukrainian air defenses. The Russian Aerospace Forces typically use hover bombs
Russian magazine "History of Aviation" reported that the tube, along with the engine and fuel, could be expanded. Therefore, it is not unlikely that the hovering bombs' flight range could be increased to 300 or 400 kilometers.

I would expect Iskander-K to also get a range and/or payload boost eventually.

I expect combat use of those legacy cruise missiles to decrease with the entrance into service of Banderol and the new jet powered UMPK.
Most of the cost of the legacy missiles is the jet turbine.

The price of the Russian Kinzhal hypersonic missile is 366 million rubles (price $4.5 million). The price of the Zircon hypersonic missile is 420 to 450 million rubles (price from $5.1 million to $5.5 million). There is little reason for Kinzhal costing more than Iskander except for small order numbers.
I expect Zircon and Kh-BD to go down in cost with more production.

Onyx missile – $1.25 million
Kh-22 missile – $1 million
Kh-55 missile – $2 million
Kh-555 missile – $4 million
Tochka-U missile – $0.3 million
There is no reason for Onyx and Kh-22 to be that much cheaper than the Kh-55. Probably old prices.
Tochka-U has been retired many years ago before 2022.
