More information about the Wingtech case:

"Wingtech Technology (600745.SH) announced that recently, its subsidiary Nexperia Semiconductor and Nexperia Semiconductor Holdings (collectively referred to as “Nexperia”) received an Order from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and a ruling from the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal. On September 30, 2025, local time in the Netherlands, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy issued an Order to Nexperia, requiring that all 30 global entities under Nexperia—including its subsidiaries, branches, and offices—must not make any adjustments to their assets, intellectual property, operations, or personnel for a period of one year. Although Nexperia’s daily operations are still ongoing, the aforementioned Order and the Enterprise Chamber’s ruling will result in temporary changes/lengthening of decision-making chains and reduced flexibility in resource allocation in the short term, which may have a certain impact on operational efficiency. The company’s control over Nexperia is temporarily restricted, but its economic rights as a shareholder remain unaffected. The company’s shares and convertible bonds will resume trading from market opening on October 13, and the company’s convertible bonds (“Wingtech Convertible Bonds”) will also resume conversion."
Another limit down on market open.

The equity market doesn't find their narrative convincing.

What is funny is it seems there isn't a single shipping co with > 25% US ownership. DHT (A crude oil tanker company) just added a Norwegian to the board today to get the US board % under 25%
And China’s response will likely keep it that way. Suppressing further American involvement in shipping companies or having their own shipping company compete. so again it was a good response.

The CPC has become accustomed to running the country like a commercial retail market, a legacy rooted in the era of Dengist ideology (1978 – …). There is significant institutional inertia against changing this direction. I have observed a trend of inaction in response to foreign aggression since 2018. So it’s not surprising that we expect the worst: nothing. Based on the trends since 2018, our fear has been repeatedly justified.
wow, really insightful. So tell us, how would you have done it differently?
you wanna hit back against everything and have yell at the top of your lungs while doing so? even when you are not ready to accept the consequences? kinda like trump?

It's actually pretty amazing how they managed to build a rocket with 5,000 ton of takeoff mass but can only put 35 tons to LEO, and even that's debatable since it hasn't been able to reach orbit with basically no payload to date. For context Long March 5 has a theoretical LEO capacity of 35 tons, lol

But of course V3 will solve everything, and they will do so by somehow adding 400 extra tons of propellant (half of LM5's takeoff mass) into a 1m height by 10m diameter cylinder

Whats their accusations vs wingtech for governance defiencies? And replaces the Chinese exec w a non chinese one? Werent nexperia losing money before wingtech bought it?

Prep for war?

Forget about that young comrade.

This is not business/economics, this is politics.

What is happening is a wedge is being driven between European business and Chinese business.

Now, just ask yourself, who would potentially benefit if such a wedge is created?

Got to admit, it has been a while since we see this many dirty tricks, such as CIA dirty tricks.

China must be doing something right.

:D:oops:

Well the payload mass ratio is naturally gonna suck if one is attempting full reusability. Lets be honest, China is gonna copy this approach as well. SPX is just about the only good thing going on in US, no need to detract from that
