Nah, not even 1,000%. That's too creative for him. He announced it's just 100%, except he's saying it in a way so that MAGA people are stupid enough to forget that they already went to 145% with no effect. So basically... 60%? Didn't work. 145%? Didn't work. Is 100% the Goldilocks number that will bring China down? What else has he got left to try? LOL

444%

Here one trillion, there on trillion, soon we are talking about real money.

LMAO tweet of the day, considering that "the only Democracy" in the Middle East is committing genocide.
Shrieking in pain as he strikes you.

Let us remember that the USG and trumps team wanted secondary sanctions on third parties who use Chinese semiconductors, this is simply China repaying in kind with regards to rare earths.

in fact, having a look again at trumps action, reminds me of dealings I had with a previous boss who was all chummy and a “let’s all get drinks together” type of boss, he was definitely successful in getting business but it came to a head with me one day when he asked me to cut my salary by 25% because he had lost a key investor. I pondered over it and came back with a counter offer of new terms, a temporary salary reduction with a gain in shares and profit sharing once we got though the rough patch, do you know what his reaction was?very negative, and To defensively claim that they couldn’t afford profit sharing, that if I wanted profit sharing I should accept zero salary, after a bit of back and forth, he dropped the request to reduce salary and I left the company soon afterwards since it was obvious the company was DOA.

Trump’s behaviour and negotiating tactic remind me of this sort of behaviour, where they act very chummy and charming when they want something from you but when you demand fair trade and negotiation on an equal footing, they react as though you’ve assaulted them simply for advocating for yourself. It’s giving narcissistic behaviour. You know it’s not a negotiating tactic because they hang onto it well after talks have concluded, they perceive your rejection of their unfair terms as a personal slight even when they’ve told the entire world you’re going to accept them; that boss went around acting as though I had already accepted the salary reduction just because I said I’d have to think it over, and reacted emotionally when I came back with counter offers…as one would expect from businessmen conducting business.

It's so predictable at this point.
We have to all "forgive" Trump-the Orange One has been hit hard by his non-awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize and his emotional distress is understandable so he is temporarily taking his anger and disappointment on his "buddy XJP"-next year he can cede totally the island entity of TW to China ML and gain eternal friendship of China ,take the "wind out of the sails" of a ever-growing-ascendant PLA,and win the Nobel Peace Prize for defusing a potential Asian flashpoint.Simple ,yes??

It is surprising because you actually believed in what Trump lied about the meeting in Oslo. There wasn't any improvement in relationship, it was all spins of Trump to paint a rosy story over a disaster. Actually after so much damage, there is no way back by now.

I have explained that meeting's readout from China's side. Using Chinese diplomatic Jargon, the message was "there was a big argument, with nothing to agree upon."

In diplomacy language, good means good. Any other words should be understood as colder than its literal meaning.

Not tactic but strategic change for new normal, change of paradigm, teaching US how to behave in a new world order.

China don't need US to saying anything about Taiwan, just to forever shut up and stop doing what they have been doing. Whatever words he or any US president say is piece of junk anyway.
Eh, still think it's just a negotiation tactic. Both sides are posturing for better position to force a compromise, probably because the talks are not going well behind the scenes due to neither side wanting to give ground, so they're back to posturing.

What's important is that this is between the US and China. It doesn't make sense for China to declare a trade war on the world over rare earths. China cannot win that kind of war.
